Black Dynalite calipers provide the hydraulic service braking in this Wilwood rear conversion for Chevrolet / GMC C1500 (1988–1998). They work with 12.19 × 0.81-inch plain face rotors; the vehicle designation must be considered together with the mounting details below. Wilwood Engineering, founded by Bill Wood in 1977, is based in Camarillo, California. Its work covers the design and manufacture of disc-brake systems and components for specialized vehicles, motorsport and street-performance use. • Brake rotor size: 12.19-inch outside diameter × 0.81-inch thickness; vented friction section.
• Wheel envelope: 15-inch minimum nominal wheel diameter; verify the entire wheel-clearance drawing, including spoke and barrel shape.
• Supplied friction pads: Pad compound should be confirmed with the supplied kit; the current component specification and installation parts list differ.
• Parking brake: Internal shoe parking brake supplied; modify the original cable with included cable-end adapter kit 330-17540.
• Hardware and retained components: Mounting hardware supplied; existing wheel hubs retained; spindles, master cylinder and brake booster are not included.
• Service calipers: Forged Dynalite Internal; 4 pistons per caliper; Black Powder Coat; lug mounting; stainless pistons.
• Hydraulic lines: Hydraulic flexlines and fittings are not included; select compatible lines for the complete installation.
• Hydraulic sizing: cataloged bore sizes 1.38, 1.38 inches; piston area 3.00 square inches; inlet 1/8-27 NPT.
• Housing-flange requirement: 88-98 C1500 flange; 3.25-inch axle offset, measured using the manufacturer worksheet.
• Rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm; cataloged hole clearances 0.58 in; 14.73 mm. These are rotor or hat drillings, not replacement wheel studs. The retained hub or axle determines the vehicle wheel pattern.

Fitment & Compatibility

For the five-lug 1988–1998 Chevrolet and GMC C1500 axle flange documented in DS1563. Verify the housing pattern, 3.25-inch measured axle offset and the specific wheel clearance. The supplied internal parking-brake assembly uses the OE cable only after modification with the included cable-end adapter kit.
