Wilwood Front AERO6-DM Conversion, Red Calipers & SRP Rotors, Toyota Tacoma / 4Runner / FJ Cruiser / Lexus GX470 / GX460

This front AERO6-DM package brings together 13.31-inch srp drilled & slotted brake rotors, pads and red 6-piston Wilwood calipers for Toyota Tacoma / 4Runner / FJ Cruiser / Lexus GX470 / GX460 (2003–2024). Rotor registration, caliper mounting and the wheel envelope should all be compared with the installation drawing. Established by Bill Wood in 1977 and based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering develops disc-brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. The range spans calipers and brake rotors through master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, all requiring selection to suit the other parts of the brake system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-17511-DR; supplied as an axle kit.
• Supplied friction pads: BP-22 compound; match operating conditions to the intended use.
• Hydraulic sizing: cataloged bore sizes 1.62, 1.38, 1.38 inches; piston area 5.06 square inches; inlet 1/8-27 NPT.
• Installation preparation: Dust-shield trimming/clearancing required as shown in the installation instructions.
• Rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 6 x 5.5 in; 6 x 139.7 mm; cataloged hole clearances 0.58 in; 14.73 mm. These are rotor or hat drillings, not replacement wheel studs. The retained hub or axle determines the vehicle wheel pattern.
• Rotor specification: Material: Iron; Type: SRP Drilled Rotor & Hat; Style: SRP Drilled & Slotted; Surface Finish: Black Electro Coat.
• Hardware and retained components: Mounting hardware supplied; existing wheel hubs retained; spindles, master cylinder and brake booster are not included.
• Wheel envelope: 17-inch minimum nominal wheel diameter; verify the entire wheel-clearance drawing, including spoke and barrel shape.
• Hydraulic lines: Braided flexlines included; verify fittings, length and routing on the actual vehicle.
• Service calipers: AERODM; 6 pistons per caliper; Red Powder Coat; lug mounting; stainless pistons.
• Brake rotor size: 13.31-inch outside diameter × 1.26-inch thickness; vented friction section.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use the complete table below for Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner and FJ Cruiser, plus Lexus GX470 and GX460; their model years differ. DS1569 requires trimming the dust shield for rotor and caliper clearance. Verify the original front upright, hub register and installed brake package. These calipers use the stated 5.06-square-inch hydraulic area and should not be confused with the larger-area later-4Runner version.
