Convert the documented Toyota 4Runner / Lexus GX460 (2015–2024) front brake arrangement with Wilwood AERO6-DM calipers and gt slotted rotors. This selection has red calipers, 6 pistons per service caliper and 13.31-inch rotor diameter, with fit determined by the installed hardware. From its base in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc-brake components and systems. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977. Motorsport, specialized applications and street-performance vehicles use its range of calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, with component selection matched to the finished brake system.

• Manufacturer part number: 140-17284-R; supplied as an axle kit.
• Wheel envelope: 17-inch minimum nominal wheel diameter; verify the entire wheel-clearance drawing, including spoke and barrel shape.
• Installation preparation: Dust-shield trimming/clearancing required as shown in the installation instructions.
• Hydraulic lines: Braided flexlines included; verify fittings, length and routing on the actual vehicle.
• Hydraulic sizing: cataloged bore sizes 1.75, 1.50, 1.50 inches; piston area 5.94 square inches; inlet 1/8-27 NPT.
• Brake rotor size: 13.31-inch outside diameter × 1.26-inch thickness; vented friction section.
• Service calipers: AERODM; 6 pistons per caliper; Red Powder Coat; lug mounting; stainless pistons.
• Rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 6 x 5.5 in; 6 x 139.7 mm; cataloged hole clearances 0.58 in; 14.73 mm. These are rotor or hat drillings, not replacement wheel studs. The retained hub or axle determines the vehicle wheel pattern.
• Supplied friction pads: BP-22 compound; match operating conditions to the intended use.
• Hardware and retained components: Mounting hardware supplied; existing wheel hubs retained; spindles, master cylinder and brake booster are not included.

Fitment & Compatibility

Toyota 4Runner applications extend through 2024 and Lexus GX460 through 2023 in the table below; check the individual trim/year row. DS1551 requires clearancing the dust shield for caliper mounting. These are the later factory front-upright applications and their specified piston area, not every six-lug Toyota/Lexus hub. Compare the rotor register and 17-inch wheel template before installation.
