Wilwood Front AERO6-DM Brake Kit for Jeep Wrangler / Wrangler JK (2007–2018), Black, 13.38-Inch GT Rotors

This front AERO6-DM package brings together 13.38-inch gt slotted brake rotors, pads and black 6-piston Wilwood calipers for Jeep Wrangler / Wrangler JK (2007–2018). Rotor registration, caliper mounting and the wheel envelope should all be compared with the installation drawing. Established by Bill Wood in 1977 and based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering develops disc-brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. The range spans calipers and brake rotors through master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, all requiring selection to suit the other parts of the brake system.

• Manufacturer part number: 140-17274; supplied as an axle kit.
• Supplied friction pads: BP-22 compound; match operating conditions to the intended use.
• Service calipers: AERODM; 6 pistons per caliper; Black Powder Coat; lug mounting; stainless pistons.
• Wheel envelope: 17-inch minimum nominal wheel diameter; verify the entire wheel-clearance drawing, including spoke and barrel shape.
• Hydraulic lines: Braided flexlines included; verify fittings, length and routing on the actual vehicle.
• Rotor specification: Material: Iron; Type: GTB Vented Rotor & Hat; Style: GT Slotted; Surface Finish: Black Electro Coat.
• Hardware and retained components: Mounting hardware supplied; existing wheel hubs retained; spindles, master cylinder and brake booster are not included.
• Rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm; cataloged hole clearances 0.64 in; 16.26 mm. These are rotor or hat drillings, not replacement wheel studs. The retained hub or axle determines the vehicle wheel pattern.
• Hydraulic sizing: cataloged bore sizes 1.75, 1.38, 1.38 inches; piston area 5.40 square inches; inlet 1/8-27 NPT.
• Brake rotor size: 13.38-inch outside diameter × 1.25-inch thickness; vented friction section.

Fitment & Compatibility

The 2007–2017 Jeep Wrangler and 2018 Wrangler JK rows below refer to the JK generation, not the later JL. DS1550 uses the factory front upright and hub with the JK-specific hydraulic piston sizes and included 22-inch flexlines. Verify hose travel at full steering lock and suspension articulation, and check the complete 17-inch wheel-clearance drawing.
