The 12.88-inch FNSL6R front conversion supplies six-piston calipers, rotor rings, separate hats and replacement aluminum hubs for No Limit Engineering ZG spindles. Bearings and mounting hardware belong to this specific fabricated-spindle package. Red calipers and 12.88-inch GT slotted rotors are the selected configuration. Based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering was established by Bill Wood in 1977. Its disc brake systems serve motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines are matched to the requirements of the whole system.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer identification: 140-17088-R, supplied as one application-specific kit.
  • Rotor dimensions (diameter/width): 12.88 / 1.25 inches. GT Slotted design in Spec-37 Iron.
  • Pads supplied: BP-20. Piston bore dimensions: 1.75, 1.25, 1.25 inches.
  • Wheel hubs are part of this package: aluminum construction, 5 x 4.75, 5 x 5.00-inch patterns and 1/2-20 wheel studs; bearings and seals are included.
  • A 17-inch nominal wheel is the starting point. Its spoke and barrel shape must clear the actual brake assembly.
  • Mounting hardware and brake pads come with the kit. Spindles, a master cylinder and a brake booster are not included.
  • Service caliper specification: Forged Narrow Superlite 6R in red powder coat, using radial mounting and 6 stainless pistons.
  • Hat material/finish: aluminum / black e-coat. Published hat offset: 1.470 inch.
  • The specified caliper hydraulic connection is 1/8-27 NPT.
  • This package excludes flexible brake hoses. Select the documented caliper and chassis-end connections separately.

Fitment & Compatibility

Requires the matching No Limit Engineering ZG spindle. Substantial spindle machining is part of the conversion: remove the two interfering ears and drill/tap two mounting holes on both spindles exactly as DS-1543 describes, preferably through a qualified machine shop. This is not a direct bolt-on package for an unmodified spindle. Verify wheel pattern, register and caliper envelope. Hoses and spindles are not supplied.
