The 12.88-inch FNSL6R front conversion supplies six-piston calipers, rotor rings, separate hats and replacement aluminum hubs for No Limit Engineering ZG spindles. Red calipers and 12.88-inch SRP drilled & slotted rotors are the selected configuration. Bearings and mounting hardware belong to this specific fabricated-spindle package. Bill Wood founded Wilwood Engineering in 1977; the company is based in Camarillo, California. Wilwood designs and manufactures calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized systems, with selection governed by the complete brake installation.

Technical Details

  • Kit reference: Wilwood manufacturer part number 140-17088-DR. Supplied quantity is one kit.
  • The brake package includes pads and required mounting hardware, excluding spindles, master cylinder and booster.
  • Hydraulic line selection is a separate purchase. Check hose length, adapters and routing before assembly.
  • Check the wheel-clearance diagram before purchase; the nominal minimum wheel diameter is 17 inches.
  • Connect the hydraulic line through the 1/8-27 NPT caliper inlet.
  • The kit includes new aluminum hubs and their bearing hardware. Select the 5 x 4.75, 5 x 5.00-inch wheel pattern and 1/2-20 studs.
  • The rotor assembly uses 1.470-inch-offset aluminum hats finished in black e-coat.
  • BP-10 pads are included. The manufacturer lists piston bores of 1.75, 1.25, 1.25 inches.
  • Braking is provided by 6-piston Forged Narrow Superlite 6R calipers, finished in red powder coat. Pistons are stainless; the mounting arrangement is radial.
  • SRP Drilled & Slotted rotor selection, 12.88 inches in diameter and 1.25 inch wide. The specified material is Spec-37 Iron.

Fitment & Compatibility

Requires the matching No Limit Engineering ZG spindle. Substantial spindle machining is part of the conversion: remove the two interfering ears and drill/tap two mounting holes on both spindles exactly as DS-1543 describes, preferably through a qualified machine shop. This is not a direct bolt-on package for an unmodified spindle. Verify wheel pattern, register and caliper envelope. Hoses and spindles are not supplied.
