Wilwood Front Plain-Rotor Brake Kit for Can-Am Maverick X3 (2017–2024) with 11.25-Inch Rotors, Anodized UTV6 Race

The Maverick X3 front race kit uses UTV6 six-piston calipers and 11.25-inch solid steel rotor rings. Dynamic lug-drive adapters connect the rings to the original wheel hubs without replacing those hubs. Anodized calipers and 11.25-inch plain face rotors are the selected configuration. Founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Its range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, chosen to match the complete system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-17040. One kit for the documented axle/application.
• Rotors: 11.25-inch outside diameter × 0.25-inch thickness, plain faces, Steel material.
• Calipers: UTV6, 6 pistons, stainless piston material. Lug mount and Type III anodize finish.
• Published piston bores: 1.12, 1.12, 1.00 inches. Included pads: BP-28.
• Matching existing wheel hubs are retained; replacement hubs are not included.
• Hydraulic inlet: M10 x 1.25.
• Nominal wheel minimum: 15 inches; verify the complete caliper profile against the wheel drawing.
• Hoses are not included; follow the installation-specific instructions for factory hose ends and supplied banjo hardware.
• Pads and mounting hardware are included. Spindles, master cylinder and brake booster are separate.

Fitment & Compatibility

Match the complete Maverick X3 and Max trim/year entries, including the specified Turbo, Turbo R, Turbo RR, DS, RS, X ds, X rs, X mr, X rc, 900 HO and Smart-Shox variants. The lower upright caliper-tab casting line may need limited grinding for clearance; remove material only if interference is present, as DS-1488 directs.
