Wilwood Rear Anodized Caliper and Plain Rotor Conversion for Honda Talon 1000R/1000X/1000X-4 (2019–2021), UTV4 Race / 11.25 Inch

Four-piston UTV4 rear calipers with 1.00-inch bores accompany 11.25-inch solid steel rotor rings in the Talon rear race conversion. Separate adapters and retaining rings join the new rotors to the original hubs. Anodized calipers and 11.25-inch plain face rotors are the selected configuration. Founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Its range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, chosen to match the complete system.

Technical Details

• Kit supplied under manufacturer part number 140-17039; one listed axle/application assembly.
• Each service caliper uses 4 stainless pistons and the UTV4 body design. It attaches through lug mounts and carries a Type III anodize finish.
• Verify the existing hub dimensions: replacement wheel hubs are outside the scope of this package.
• A 15-inch nominal wheel is the starting point. Its spoke and barrel shape must clear the actual brake assembly.
• Mounting hardware and brake pads come with the kit. Spindles, a master cylinder and a brake booster are not included.
• The rotor friction surfaces are plain face. The assembly diameter is 11.25 inches; rotor width is 0.25 inch and material is Steel.
• An axle pad set in BP-28 compound accompanies the calipers, whose published bores are 1.00, 1.00 inches.
• The specified caliper hydraulic connection is M10 x 1.25.
• No flexline kit is packed with these brakes. Confirm the documented original-hose installation or separately purchased replacement.

Fitment & Compatibility

Confirm the Talon rear hub and the exact 1000R, 1000X or 1000X-4 application, with the named Live Valve and Special Edition restrictions in the table. Reused original hose ends require locating-prong removal and the supplied replacement banjo bolts. These are hydraulic rear service brakes, with no added parking-brake mechanism.
