Product details
SX6R six-piston front calipers pair with 15.00-inch rotors on separate dynamic lug-drive hats in this C8 Corvette package. Brake pads, mounting hardware and braided lines are included for the specified original hub/upright interface. Red calipers and 15.00-inch GT slotted rotors are the selected configuration. Based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering was established by Bill Wood in 1977. Its disc brake systems serve motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines are matched to the requirements of the whole system.
Technical Details
- Kit supplied under manufacturer part number 140-17004-R; one listed axle/application assembly.
- Each service caliper uses 6 stainless pistons and the SX6R body design. It attaches through radial mounts and carries a red powder coat finish.
- The hat specification calls for aluminum, Type III anodize and an offset of 0.425 inch.
- Verify the existing hub dimensions: replacement wheel hubs are outside the scope of this package.
- A 19-inch nominal wheel is the starting point. Its spoke and barrel shape must clear the actual brake assembly.
- Mounting hardware and brake pads come with the kit. Spindles, a master cylinder and a brake booster are not included.
- The rotor friction surfaces are GT slotted. The assembly diameter is 15.00 inches; rotor width is 1.25 inch and material is Spec-37 Iron.
- An axle pad set in BP-10 compound accompanies the calipers, whose published bores are 1.62, 1.12, 1.12 inches.
- Match the retained hub to the hat holes (5 x 4.72 inches); no new wheel-hub pattern is created.
- The specified caliper hydraulic connection is 1/8-27 NPT.
- Hose package 220-17008 is included. Keep the braided lines free of strain, abrasion and contact with moving parts.
Fitment & Compatibility
Check the exact Corvette entry: Stingray 2020–2025, Z06 2023–2025, Corvette E-Ray 1LZ 2024, and the listed 2025 E-Ray and ZR1 rows. Match the actual factory brake package and upright; a trim name alone is not a substitute for checking the rotor/hat interface. The nominal minimum is 19 inches, with spoke clearance checked against the complete wheel drawing. Confirm all year, model and brake-package details against the application table below, including the notes attached to each row.
