Wilwood Rear Dynapro Low-Profile Calipers and 11-Inch Drilled/Slotted Brake Rotors for BOP 2.75-Inch Bearing Axles, Black Kit

Black calipers and 11.00-inch SRP drilled & slotted rotors are the selected configuration. This staggered rear brake conversion combines four-piston Dynapro Low-Profile service calipers with 11.00-inch rotors and internal drum parking-brake assemblies. The axle interface is the BOP 2.75-inch bearing flange with a 2.75-inch axle offset. Wilwood Engineering, founded in 1977 by Bill Wood, is based in Camarillo, California. The company makes disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Each component must suit the surrounding brake system.

Technical Details

• The Wilwood manufacturer part number is 140-16988-D. This product is sold as a kit.
• The black powder coat caliper bodies are Forged Dynapro Low Profile units with 4 pistons. Stainless pistons and lug mounts are specified.
• 11.00-inch rotors are supplied in the SRP drilled & slotted configuration; the published thickness is 0.81 inch. These rotors use Iron.
• Friction material supplied is BP-10; the caliper bore measurements are 1.38, 1.38 inches.
• The original hub arrangement must be retained or provided separately. No replacement wheel hubs come with the kit.
• Caliper inlet thread is 1/8-27 NPT.
• Published minimum rim diameter is 14 inches. Use the template to check spoke clearance as well.
• Provide suitable flexible hoses and caliper/chassis fittings; the brake kit does not supply flexlines.
• Drum parking-brake assemblies are included inside the rotor hats. Supply parking cables, cable hardware/adapters and hydraulic hoses/fittings separately.
• Supplied items include the pads and mounting fasteners; no replacement spindle, master cylinder or booster is included.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use measured axle dimensions: BOP 2.75-inch bearing flange, 2.75-inch offset and the staggered shock/caliper layout. DS-1529 describes the 1964–1970 Buick/Oldsmobile/Pontiac axle arrangement, but no particular vehicle model is established here. Confirm the flange drawing, rotor register and axle-flange maximum of 6.61 inches with the specified chamfer. The rotor hat is drilled for 1/2-inch wheel studs; upgrading smaller studs may require machining. Hydraulic hoses/fittings and parking cables, hardware or adapters are not supplied.
