Wilwood Front Black FDL-M Brake Conversion for Chevrolet Tri-Five ProSpindle Cars (1955–1957), 11.50-Inch Plain Rotors

Forged Dynalite-M four-piston front calipers work with 11.50-inch integrated hub/rotor castings in this Wilwood ProSpindle conversion. Bearings, seals and brake pads are supplied for the documented Tri-Five spindle arrangement. Black calipers and 11.50-inch plain face rotors are the selected configuration. Founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Its range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, chosen to match the complete system.

Technical Details

• Kit reference: Wilwood manufacturer part number 140-16906. Supplied quantity is one kit.
• The brake package includes pads and required mounting hardware, excluding spindles, master cylinder and booster.
• Hydraulic line selection is a separate purchase. Check hose length, adapters and routing before assembly.
• Check the wheel-clearance diagram before purchase; the nominal minimum wheel diameter is 15 inches.
• Connect the hydraulic line through the 1/8-27 NPT caliper inlet.
• The one-piece rotor castings incorporate the wheel hubs, with the documented bearings, grease seals and hub hardware supplied.
• BP-10 pads are included. The manufacturer lists piston bores of 1.75, 1.75 inches.
• Braking is provided by 4-piston Forged Dynalite-M calipers, finished in black powder coat. Pistons are stainless; the mounting arrangement is lug.
• Plain Face rotor selection, 11.50 inches in diameter and 1.00 inch wide. The specified material is Iron.
• Integrated hub wheel patterns: 5 x 4.50 and 5 x 4.75 inches. Select the correct stud pattern and confirm wheel fit.

Fitment & Compatibility

The supplied one-piece hub/rotors fit the separately purchased Wilwood 2.00-inch-drop ProSpindle, part 831-16660. Retain customer-supplied original steering arms. Application coverage is Bel Air, Nomad, One-Fifty Series, Sedan Delivery and Two-Ten Series 1955–1957, plus Del Ray 1957. The published wheel-track increase is 0.34 inch per side. Check the integral hub wheel pattern and 15-inch clearance drawing; choose hydraulic hoses separately.
