Product details

Black calipers and 16.00-inch SRP drilled & slotted rotors are the selected configuration. TX4R four-piston rear calipers and 16.00-inch one-piece rotors replace the specified GM truck rear service brakes while retaining the factory parking-brake components. This kit uses the existing axle hubs and requires separately selected hydraulic flexlines. Wilwood Engineering, founded in 1977 by Bill Wood, is based in Camarillo, California. The company makes disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Each component must suit the surrounding brake system.

Technical Details

  • Product identification: Wilwood 140-16861-D. Package quantity: one kit for the stated configuration.
  • The brake package includes pads and required mounting hardware, excluding spindles, master cylinder and booster.
  • Retains the specified original parking-brake components; it does not supply new parking shoes, cables or electric actuators.
  • Hydraulic line selection is a separate purchase. Check hose length, adapters and routing before assembly.
  • Check the wheel-clearance diagram before purchase; the nominal minimum wheel diameter is 20 inches.
  • Connect the hydraulic line through the 1/8-27 NPT caliper inlet.
  • This assembly leaves the documented wheel hubs in use. It supplies brake components rather than new hubs.
  • Piston sizing follows the published 1.62, 1.38-inch specification. The included brake-pad compound is BP-22.
  • Caliper selection is 4-piston TX4R. Body finish: black powder coat; attachment: radial; piston material: stainless.
  • Rotor package uses SRP Drilled Rotor & Hat components. Each is 1.25 inch thick with 16.00-inch diameter and SRP drilled & slotted faces. Published material: Iron.

Fitment & Compatibility

Match the exact OE rear-brake configuration and axle, especially the single-piston versus HD dual-piston distinctions. The table names Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Pickup/1500/1500 LD, Tahoe, Avalanche, Suburban 1500/Suburban; GMC Sierra 1500 Pickup/1500/1500 Limited, Yukon, Yukon XL 1500/Yukon XL; and Cadillac Escalade, Escalade EXT and Escalade ESV. Year coverage varies by model within 1999–2020, with Classic/New Style, police and four-wheel-steering restrictions. Dust-shield trimming is required, and the original parking-brake mechanism must remain serviceable. Read the fitment table below for the exact year and option combination; do not apply one row's restrictions to another vehicle.
