Wilwood Front Dynapro 6 Conversion with 12.19-Inch Plain Rotors and Red Calipers, Chrysler PT Cruiser/Dodge Neon SRT-4 (2001–2010)

The Dynapro 6 front brake kit combines six-piston lug-mount calipers with 12.19-inch rotors and separate short-offset hats. It is a conversion for the documented PT Cruiser and Neon SRT-4 front hub/upright arrangement. Red calipers and 12.19-inch plain face rotors are the selected configuration. Based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering was established by Bill Wood in 1977. Its disc brake systems serve motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines are matched to the requirements of the whole system.

Technical Details

• Product identification: Wilwood 140-16827-R. Package quantity: one kit for the stated configuration.
• The brake package includes pads and required mounting hardware, excluding spindles, master cylinder and booster.
• Hydraulic line selection is a separate purchase. Check hose length, adapters and routing before assembly.
• Check the wheel-clearance diagram before purchase; the nominal minimum wheel diameter is 15 inches.
• Connect the hydraulic line through the 1/8-27 NPT caliper inlet.
• This assembly leaves the documented wheel hubs in use. It supplies brake components rather than new hubs.
• Rotor-hat stud-hole patterns are 5 x 3.93 inches, separate from the retained hub wheel-pattern specification.
• Rotor mounting is through separate aluminum hats, offset 0.500 inch and finished in black e-coat.
• Piston sizing follows the published 1.62, 1.12, 1.12-inch specification. The included brake-pad compound is BP-10.
• Caliper selection is 6-piston Dynapro 6. Body finish: red powder coat; attachment: lug; piston material: stainless.
• Rotor package uses Ultralite HP 32 components. Each is 0.81 inch thick with 12.19-inch diameter and plain faces. Published material: Iron.

Fitment & Compatibility

PT Cruiser entries span 2001–2010 with rear-drum and rear-disc configurations, including the specifically listed turbocharged versions. Neon SRT-4 coverage is 2003–2005 only; do not treat that as fitment for every Neon. Match the exact year and factory brake option, retained hub, hat register and wheel-clearance drawing. Some 15-inch wheels may clear, subject to the drawing. Confirm all year, model and brake-package details against the application table below, including the notes attached to each row.
