Wilwood Front Brake Conversion, Red AERO6-DM / Drilled/Slotted 13.38-Inch Package for GM 1500 Trucks/SUVs (2019–2026)

This current-generation GM front conversion places six-piston AERO6-DM calipers on the specified original uprights. Red calipers and 13.38-inch SRP drilled & slotted rotors are the selected configuration. Matching 13.38-inch one-piece rotors, BP-22 pads and braided flexlines form a front axle package for the detailed truck/SUV applications. Bill Wood founded Wilwood Engineering in 1977; the company is based in Camarillo, California. Wilwood designs and manufactures calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized systems, with selection governed by the complete brake installation.

Technical Details

• Kit supplied under manufacturer part number 140-16805-DR; one listed axle/application assembly.
• Each service caliper uses 6 stainless pistons and the AERODM body design. It attaches through lug mounts and carries a red powder coat finish.
• Verify the existing hub dimensions: replacement wheel hubs are outside the scope of this package.
• A 17-inch nominal wheel is the starting point. Its spoke and barrel shape must clear the actual brake assembly.
• Mounting hardware and brake pads come with the kit. Spindles, a master cylinder and a brake booster are not included.
• The rotor friction surfaces are SRP drilled & slotted. The assembly diameter is 13.38 inches; rotor width is 1.25 inch and material is Iron.
• An axle pad set in BP-22 compound accompanies the calipers, whose published bores are 1.75, 1.62, 1.62 inches.
• The specified caliper hydraulic connection is 1/8-27 NPT.
• Hose package 220-10979 is included. Keep the braided lines free of strain, abrasion and contact with moving parts.

Fitment & Compatibility

The table identifies Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and 1500 LTD, Suburban and Tahoe; GMC Sierra 1500 and 1500 Limited, Yukon and Yukon XL; and Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV. Pickup coverage begins in 2019; the listed SUVs begin in 2021, and individual trims have different end years through 2026. Confirm the exact entry and standard hub interface. Follow factory EPB service-mode procedures where fitted, secure the unused pad-sensor wire, and check whether the dust shield needs trimming.
