Wilwood Front Red Caliper and GT Slotted Rotor Conversion for GM 1500 Trucks/SUVs (2007–2020), AERO6-DM / 13.38 Inch

For the listed later GM truck uprights, this front AERO6-DM package uses 13.38-inch slip-on rotors and six-piston direct-mount calipers. Its included 24-inch flexlines connect the new calipers while the original wheel hubs remain in place. Red calipers and 13.38-inch GT slotted rotors are the selected configuration. Based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering was established by Bill Wood in 1977. Its disc brake systems serve motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines are matched to the requirements of the whole system.

Technical Details

• Kit supplied under manufacturer part number 140-16804-R; one listed axle/application assembly.
• Each service caliper uses 6 stainless pistons and the AERODM body design. It attaches through lug mounts and carries a red powder coat finish.
• Verify the existing hub dimensions: replacement wheel hubs are outside the scope of this package.
• A 17-inch nominal wheel is the starting point. Its spoke and barrel shape must clear the actual brake assembly.
• Mounting hardware and brake pads come with the kit. Spindles, a master cylinder and a brake booster are not included.
• The rotor friction surfaces are GT slotted. The assembly diameter is 13.38 inches; rotor width is 1.25 inch and material is Iron.
• An axle pad set in BP-22 compound accompanies the calipers, whose published bores are 1.75, 1.62, 1.62 inches.
• The specified caliper hydraulic connection is 1/8-27 NPT.
• Hose package 220-10979 is included. Keep the braided lines free of strain, abrasion and contact with moving parts.

Fitment & Compatibility

Coverage is separated by model: Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado 1500 Pickup/1500/1500 LD, Suburban 1500/Suburban and Tahoe; GMC Sierra 1500 Pickup/1500/1500 Limited, Yukon, Yukon XL 1500 and Yukon XL; Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV and Escalade EXT. Read the individual years, 2007 New Style designation, police-package, pad-clip and rear-brake entries. Dust-shield trimming may be required. Retain and safely secure any factory pad-wear sensor wire as instructed; it is not used by the new calipers.
