Wilwood Front Drilled/Slotted Brake Kit for Ford/Mercury Disc-Spindle Cars (1965–1967) with 11.29-Inch Rotors, Black D11

Black calipers and 11.29-inch SRP drilled & slotted rotors are the selected configuration. The full D11 front brake conversion supplies four-piston calipers, 11.29-inch one-piece hub/rotor castings, bearings, pads and flexlines. It uses the existing Ford/Mercury disc spindle and caliper bracket rather than a replacement spindle. Wilwood Engineering, founded in 1977 by Bill Wood, is based in Camarillo, California. The company makes disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Each component must suit the surrounding brake system.

Technical Details

• Kit reference: Wilwood manufacturer part number 140-16801-D. Supplied quantity is one kit.
• The brake package includes pads and required mounting hardware, excluding spindles, master cylinder and booster.
• The kit supplies braided flexlines (220-12168). Confirm their chassis-end fit and routing on the actual vehicle.
• Check the wheel-clearance diagram before purchase; the nominal minimum wheel diameter is 14 inches.
• Connect the hydraulic line through the 1/8-27 NPT caliper inlet.
• The one-piece rotor castings incorporate the wheel hubs, with the documented bearings, grease seals and hub hardware supplied.
• PM - ProMatrix pads are included. The manufacturer lists piston bores of 1.62, 1.62 inches.
• Braking is provided by 4-piston D11 calipers, finished in black powder coat. Pistons are stainless; the mounting arrangement is lug.
• SRP Drilled & Slotted rotor selection, 11.29 inches in diameter and 0.94 inch wide. The specified material is Iron.

Fitment & Compatibility

Match the 1965–1967 disc-spindle applications for Falcon, Mustang, Ranchero, Fairlane, Comet, Caliente, Cougar and Cyclone. Early entries require V8 disc spindles; retain the appropriate original caliper bracket. The factory dust shields must be removed. These rotors incorporate the wheel hubs and have a 5 x 4.50-inch wheel pattern; the kit is nominally described as 11.30 inches, with an exact published rotor diameter of 11.29 inches. Read the fitment table below for the exact year and option combination; do not apply one row's restrictions to another vehicle.
