Wilwood Front D11 Caliper Kit for Ford/Mercury Disc-Spindle Cars (1965–1967), Anodized Finish with Flexlines

D11 four-piston calipers replace the original front calipers on the documented Ford/Mercury disc-brake spindle arrangement. This caliper-and-pad package includes braided flexlines and retains serviceable matching rotors, hubs and factory caliper brackets. Anodized calipers are supplied in this configuration. Founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Its range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, chosen to match the complete system.

Technical Details

• Kit supplied under manufacturer part number 140-16799; one listed axle/application assembly.
• An axle pad set in PM - ProMatrix compound accompanies the calipers, whose published bores are 1.62, 1.62 inches.
• The specified caliper hydraulic connection is 1/8-27 NPT.
• Hose package 220-12168 is included. Keep the braided lines free of strain, abrasion and contact with moving parts.
• Each service caliper uses 4 stainless pistons and the D11 body design. It attaches through lug mounts and carries a Type III anodize finish.
• Verify the existing hub dimensions: replacement wheel hubs are outside the scope of this package.
• A 14-inch nominal wheel is the starting point. Its spoke and barrel shape must clear the actual brake assembly.
• Mounting hardware and brake pads come with the kit. Spindles, a master cylinder and a brake booster are not included.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use only with the specified 1965–1967 factory disc spindles and original caliper brackets. The table covers Falcon, Mustang, Ranchero, Fairlane, Comet, Caliente, Cougar and Cyclone, with V8 disc-spindle restrictions on the early entries. Remove the factory dust shields as directed. Rotors and replacement hubs are not supplied with this caliper-only kit.
