Wilwood Front 16-Inch GT Slotted Brake Kit, Ram 1500 Six-Lug (2019–2025) with Red TX6R Calipers

Red calipers and 16.00-inch GT slotted rotors are the selected configuration. This TX6R front brake package combines six-piston truck calipers with 16.00-inch rotors, aluminum hats and braided flexlines. It is selected by the Ram 1500 six-lug hub and listed production configuration. Wilwood Engineering, founded in 1977 by Bill Wood, is based in Camarillo, California. The company makes disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Each component must suit the surrounding brake system.

Technical Details

• Kit supplied under manufacturer part number 140-16790-R; one listed axle/application assembly.
• Each service caliper uses 6 stainless pistons and the TX6R body design. It attaches through radial mounts and carries a red powder coat finish.
• The hat specification calls for aluminum, black e-coat and an offset of 0.810 inch.
• Verify the existing hub dimensions: replacement wheel hubs are outside the scope of this package.
• A 20-inch nominal wheel is the starting point. Its spoke and barrel shape must clear the actual brake assembly.
• Mounting hardware and brake pads come with the kit. Spindles, a master cylinder and a brake booster are not included.
• The rotor friction surfaces are GT slotted. The assembly diameter is 16.00 inches; rotor width is 1.38 inch and material is Iron.
• An axle pad set in BP-22 compound accompanies the calipers, whose published bores are 1.75, 1.62, 1.62 inches.
• Match the retained hub to the hat holes (6 X 5.50 inches); no new wheel-hub pattern is created.
• The specified caliper hydraulic connection is 1/8-27 NPT.
• Hose package 220-16802 is included. Keep the braided lines free of strain, abrasion and contact with moving parts.

Fitment & Compatibility

The application rows cover the listed 2019–2025 Ram 1500 trims, including Big Horn, Laramie, Limited, Lone Star, Rebel and Tradesman, with narrower ranges for HFE, Sport, Special Service, Longhorn, Tungsten and Warlock. Verify the six-lug hub rather than assuming that an earlier or Classic-body 1500 uses this brake package. A 20-inch nominal wheel must also clear the actual caliper profile. Read the fitment table below for the exact year and option combination; do not apply one row's restrictions to another vehicle.
