Product details

Choose plain 11-inch rear rotors and red Dynapro calipers for the specified Ford Explorer 8.8 axle. Match the 2.54-inch offset and wheel profile. Bill Wood founded Wilwood Engineering in 1977 in Camarillo, California, where the company is based. Wilwood designs and manufactures disc brake systems, producing brake rotors, calipers, master cylinders, fittings, valves and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Individual parts are selected to meet the requirements of the complete braking system.

Fitment & Compatibility

This kit is defined by the Ford Explorer 8.8 housing flange and 2.54-inch axle offset, including its register, bolt locations and rotor relationship. It is an axle-interface conversion rather than a blanket Explorer model-year fit claim. Internal shoes provide parking inside the one-piece hat/rotor assembly. DS-1425 calls for separate cable and clevis connections; a universal cable may need adaptation. Supply the hydraulic lines separately and check every part of the low-profile caliper envelope. Some 14-inch wheels may clear only after checking the drawing.
