Wilwood Chevy 12-Bolt Rear Brake and EPB Kit, Red Dynalite Calipers with Plain 12.19-Inch Rotors, C-Clip Axles and 2.75-Inch Offset

The undrilled rear rotor option pairs red Dynalite hydraulic calipers with separate red electric parking calipers. The assembly is configured for a Chevy 12-bolt C-clip axle and a measured 2.75-inch offset, with vehicle hydraulic connections supplied separately. Wilwood Engineering was established in 1977 by Bill Wood and is based in Camarillo, California. It designs and manufactures disc brake equipment for specialized applications, motorsport and street-performance use. The product range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines; each is chosen to meet the complete system’s requirements.

• Manufacturer part number: 140-16164-R; supplied as one rear axle brake kit.
• Supplied service pads: BP-10 compound; verify suitability for the intended operating conditions.
• Rotor material and surface: Iron; vented; Plain Face; surface finish Plain.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 15 in; 381 mm; full spoke/barrel clearance must be checked using the installation drawing.
• Hydraulic installation: Hydraulic lines and fittings are separate and must be selected for the vehicle; master cylinder not included; brake booster not included.
• Cataloged rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm; 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm bolt circle; cataloged stud-hole clearances 0.52 in; 13.21 mm. The existing hub or axle flange determines the vehicle wheel pattern and stud specification. These rotor/hat drillings do not convert that pattern.
• Rear axle interface: 12 Bolt housing flange; 2.75 in; 69.85 mm axle offset. Measure the installed assembly.
• Rotor dimensions: 12.19 in; 309.63 mm outside diameter; 0.81 in; 20.57 mm thick.
• Parking-brake package: Two separate electric parking calipers, control unit, switch with pigtail and universal wiring harness included; vehicle electrical connections require installation.
• Caliper finish and port: Red Powder Coat; hydraulic inlet 1/8-27 NPT.
• Mechanical contents: Separate wheel hubs are not included; mounting hardware supplied; spindles not included.
• Hydraulic service calipers: Forged Dynalite Internal; 4 pistons per caliper; Forged Aluminium body; lug mounting; Stainless pistons.

Fitment & Compatibility

This kit is selected for 12 Bolt geometry at 2.75 inches of axle offset. Wheel-stud pattern and register dimensions must match the supplied rotors or hats, and the parking motors and harness connectors need clearance throughout suspension travel. Compare the intended 15-inch or larger wheel with the installation drawing. Confirm C-clip axle retention and end play; a C-clip eliminator or different housing flange requires its own fit assessment.

Use the fitment table below together with a measured axle check. A model name alone does not establish conversion compatibility; compare the flange, axle offset, register and chosen wheel pattern. For Chevelle, 442, Beaumont, Camaro and Apollo vehicles, establish rear-axle fit independently of the front spindle configuration. Confirm the housing flange, axle retention and offset on the installed rear assembly.

The EPB is a parking-hold system, not an emergency stopping brake. It includes a separate left/right motor-driven caliper pair, control unit, switch with pigtail and universal wiring harness. Vehicle power, ground, ignition/accessory connections and protected cable routing must be installed to DS1353; it is not a plug-in factory-harness replacement.
