Wilwood Rear GT Brakes with Red Superlite Service and EPB Calipers, 14-Inch Two-Piece Rotors, Small Ford 2.66-Inch Offset

This GT-slotted rear conversion uses red Superlite hydraulic calipers, aluminum rotor hats and separate electric parking calipers. The 14-inch ring diameter sets the wheel-envelope requirement, while the 2.66-inch Small Ford axle offset determines alignment. Camarillo, California is home to Wilwood Engineering, the company Bill Wood founded in 1977. Wilwood designs and manufactures disc braking systems and components for street-performance, motorsport and specialized applications. Its calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines are selected to work within the complete installation.

• Manufacturer part number: 140-16156-R; supplied as one rear axle brake kit.
• Cataloged rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm; 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm bolt circle; cataloged stud-hole clearances 0.520 in; 13.21 mm. The existing hub or axle flange determines the vehicle wheel pattern and stud specification. These rotor/hat drillings do not convert that pattern.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 18 in; 457.2 mm; full spoke/barrel clearance must be checked using the installation drawing.
• Hydraulic installation: Hydraulic lines and fittings are separate and must be selected for the vehicle; master cylinder not included; brake booster not included.
• Supplied service pads: BP-10 compound; verify suitability for the intended operating conditions.
• Rotor material and surface: Spec-37 Iron; vented; GT Slotted; surface finish Black Electro Coat.
• Parking-brake package: Two separate electric parking calipers, control unit, switch with pigtail and universal wiring harness included; vehicle electrical connections require installation.
• Mechanical contents: Separate wheel hubs are not included; mounting hardware supplied; spindles not included.
• Hydraulic service calipers: Forged Narrow Superlite 4R; 4 pistons per caliper; Forged Aluminium body; radial mounting; Stainless pistons.
• Rotor mounting hats: Aluminum; Black E-Coat; hat offset 2.035 inches. This is a hat dimension, not the axle offset.
• Caliper finish and port: Red Powder Coat; hydraulic inlet 1/8-27 NPT.
• Rear axle interface: Small Ford housing flange; 2.66 in; 67.56 mm axle offset. Measure the installed assembly.
• Rotor dimensions: 14.00 in; 355.6 mm outside diameter; 1.10 in; 27.94 mm thick.

Fitment & Compatibility

This kit is selected for Small Ford geometry at 2.66 inches of axle offset. Wheel-stud pattern and register dimensions must match the supplied rotors or hats, and the parking motors and harness connectors need clearance throughout suspension travel. Compare the intended 18-inch or larger wheel with the installation drawing.

Review the fitment table below after identifying the rear axle. Confirm housing-flange dimensions, retention hardware, offset, register and wheel pattern against the kit drawing. For a 1990 Lincoln Town Car, identify the actual axle and confirm the specified interface; do not select this conversion from model and year alone.

Parking actuation is electric through a supplied controller, switch with pigtail, universal harness and two motor-driven calipers. The installer must provide suitable vehicle power/ground and ignition/accessory connections and check lead routing to DS1353. These additional calipers are for parking hold, not an emergency stop function.
