Wilwood Black Rear Superlite EPB Kit with Drilled 12.88-Inch Rings and Aluminum Hats, Small Ford Housing, 2.66-Inch Offset

This drilled-ring rear package uses black Superlite hydraulic calipers with 12.88-inch Spec-37 rotor rings and separate aluminum hats. The motor-driven parking units and controller complete the electrically operated holding function at the Small Ford axle. Wilwood Engineering began in 1977 under founder Bill Wood and is based in Camarillo, California. It designs and manufactures disc braking equipment for motorsport, specialized applications and street-performance vehicles. Calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines form part of the range and must match the requirements of the complete system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-16155-D; supplied as one rear axle brake kit.
• Mechanical contents: Separate wheel hubs are not included; mounting hardware supplied; spindles not included.
• Rear axle interface: Small Ford housing flange; 2.66 in; 67.56 mm axle offset. Measure the installed assembly.
• Supplied service pads: BP-10 compound; verify suitability for the intended operating conditions.
• Cataloged rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm; 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm bolt circle; cataloged stud-hole clearances 0.520 in; 13.21 mm. The existing hub or axle flange determines the vehicle wheel pattern and stud specification. These rotor/hat drillings do not convert that pattern.
• Caliper finish and port: Black Powder Coat; hydraulic inlet 1/8-27 NPT.
• Rotor dimensions: 12.88 in; 327.15 mm outside diameter; 1.10 in; 27.94 mm thick.
• Hydraulic service calipers: Forged Narrow Superlite 4R; 4 pistons per caliper; Forged Aluminium body; radial mounting; Stainless pistons.
• Parking-brake package: Two separate electric parking calipers, control unit, switch with pigtail and universal wiring harness included; vehicle electrical connections require installation.
• Hydraulic installation: Hydraulic lines and fittings are separate and must be selected for the vehicle; master cylinder not included; brake booster not included.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 17 in; 431.8 mm; full spoke/barrel clearance must be checked using the installation drawing.
• Rotor material and surface: Spec-37 Iron; vented; SRP Drilled & Slotted; surface finish Black Electro Coat.
• Rotor mounting hats: Aluminum; Black E-Coat; hat offset 2.035 inches. This is a hat dimension, not the axle offset.

Fitment & Compatibility

Installation requires the Small Ford housing flange and a measured 2.66-inch axle offset. Compare the housing bolt pattern, bearing/axle retention, wheel pattern and center registration with the kit drawing, then check both service-caliper and EPB-motor clearance. Nominal 17-inch wheel diameter is only the starting point.

Any vehicle application in the fitment table below depends on the installed axle interface. Compare flange and bearing geometry, axle offset, center register and wheel hardware with the specified assembly. For a 1990 Lincoln Town Car, identify the actual axle and confirm the specified interface; do not select this conversion from model and year alone.

Two dedicated motorized calipers provide parking hold separately from the hydraulic service calipers. The kit supplies their switch with pigtail, control unit and universal wiring harness. DS1353 covers the required 12V vehicle connections and component placement. The EPB is not an emergency stopping brake.
