Wilwood Red Dynalite Rear Disc Conversion, Small Ford 2.66-Inch Axles, Plain 12.19-Inch Rotors with Electric Parking Hold

The plain-rotor Small Ford option pairs red Dynalite hydraulic calipers with dedicated motor-operated parking units. This is a complete rear brake conversion at the measured 2.66-inch axle offset, with hydraulic hoses selected separately for the vehicle. Bill Wood established Wilwood Engineering in 1977, and the company is based in Camarillo, California. Wilwood designs and manufactures disc brake systems and their components for street-performance, motorsport and specialized use. Its caliper, rotor, master-cylinder, valve, fitting and brake-line products are selected according to the complete brake-system requirements.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-16154-R; supplied as one rear axle brake kit.
• Rear axle interface: Small Ford housing flange; 2.66 in; 67.56 mm axle offset. Measure the installed assembly.
• Hydraulic installation: Hydraulic lines and fittings are separate and must be selected for the vehicle; master cylinder not included; brake booster not included.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 15 in; 381 mm; full spoke/barrel clearance must be checked using the installation drawing.
• Hydraulic service calipers: Forged Dynalite Internal; 4 pistons per caliper; Forged Aluminium body; lug mounting; Stainless pistons.
• Caliper finish and port: Red Powder Coat; hydraulic inlet 1/8-27 NPT.
• Rotor material and surface: Iron; vented; Plain Face; surface finish Plain.
• Rotor dimensions: 12.19 in; 309.63 mm outside diameter; 0.81 in; 20.57 mm thick.
• Supplied service pads: BP-10 compound; verify suitability for the intended operating conditions.
• Parking-brake package: Two separate electric parking calipers, control unit, switch with pigtail and universal wiring harness included; vehicle electrical connections require installation.
• Cataloged rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm; 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm bolt circle; cataloged stud-hole clearances 0.52 in; 13.21 mm. The existing hub or axle flange determines the vehicle wheel pattern and stud specification. These rotor/hat drillings do not convert that pattern.
• Mechanical contents: Separate wheel hubs are not included; mounting hardware supplied; spindles not included.

Fitment & Compatibility

This kit is selected for Small Ford geometry at 2.66 inches of axle offset. Wheel-stud pattern and register dimensions must match the supplied rotors or hats, and the parking motors and harness connectors need clearance throughout suspension travel. Compare the intended 15-inch or larger wheel with the installation drawing.

Vehicle fitment in the table below remains conditional on axle identity. Measure the housing flange, bearing/retention arrangement, register and offset rather than relying on vehicle year. For a 1990 Lincoln Town Car, identify the actual axle and confirm the specified interface; do not select this conversion from model and year alone.

Service braking remains hydraulic; the additional electric calipers are for static parking hold and must not be used as an emergency stop brake. The switch/pigtail, controller and universal EPB harness are supplied. Plan the vehicle’s 12V power, ground and ignition/accessory wiring and protect all motor leads according to DS1353.
