Wilwood Black Superlite Rear Electronic Parking Brake Conversion, Small Ford 2.50-Inch Offset, Drilled 14-Inch Spec-37 Rotors

Drilled 14-inch Spec-37 rings and black radial-mount service calipers make up this rear Superlite package. The independent electric parking system includes the motorized calipers, switch and electronics; the full assembly requires clearance at both caliper positions. Camarillo, California is home to Wilwood Engineering, the company Bill Wood founded in 1977. Wilwood designs and manufactures disc braking systems and components for street-performance, motorsport and specialized applications. Its calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines are selected to work within the complete installation.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-16152-D; supplied as one rear axle brake kit.
• Supplied service pads: BP-10 compound; verify suitability for the intended operating conditions.
• Hydraulic service calipers: Forged Narrow Superlite 4R; 4 pistons per caliper; Forged Aluminium body; radial mounting; Stainless pistons.
• Cataloged rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm; 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm bolt circle; cataloged stud-hole clearances 0.520 in; 13.21 mm. The existing hub or axle flange determines the vehicle wheel pattern and stud specification. These rotor/hat drillings do not convert that pattern.
• Rotor material and surface: Spec-37 Iron; vented; SRP Drilled & Slotted; surface finish Black Electro Coat.
• Hydraulic installation: Hydraulic lines and fittings are separate and must be selected for the vehicle; master cylinder not included; brake booster not included.
• Caliper finish and port: Black Powder Coat; hydraulic inlet 1/8-27 NPT.
• Parking-brake package: Two separate electric parking calipers, control unit, switch with pigtail and universal wiring harness included; vehicle electrical connections require installation.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 18 in; 457.2 mm; full spoke/barrel clearance must be checked using the installation drawing.
• Rear axle interface: Small Ford housing flange; 2.50 in; 63.5 mm axle offset. Measure the installed assembly.
• Rotor mounting hats: Aluminum; Black E-Coat; hat offset 2.035 inches. This is a hat dimension, not the axle offset.
• Rotor dimensions: 14.00 in; 355.6 mm outside diameter; 1.10 in; 27.94 mm thick.
• Mechanical contents: Separate wheel hubs are not included; mounting hardware supplied; spindles not included.

Fitment & Compatibility

Installation requires the Small Ford housing flange and a measured 2.50-inch axle offset. Compare the housing bolt pattern, bearing/axle retention, wheel pattern and center registration with the kit drawing, then check both service-caliper and EPB-motor clearance. Nominal 18-inch wheel diameter is only the starting point.

Review the fitment table below after identifying the rear axle. Confirm housing-flange dimensions, retention hardware, offset, register and wheel pattern against the kit drawing. For a 1990 Lincoln Town Car, identify the actual axle and confirm the specified interface; do not select this conversion from model and year alone.

A separate electric caliper at each rear wheel performs the parking function; it does not replace the hydraulic service circuit. Supplied EPB equipment includes the controller, switch/pigtail and wiring harness. Install the vehicle power, ground and accessory connections using DS1353. Use the system only for parking hold, not emergency stopping.
