Wilwood Black Superlite 4R Rear EPB Kit for Small Ford Axles at 2.50-Inch Offset, 12.88-Inch GT Rotors and Aluminum Hats

Black Superlite 4R calipers work on 12.88-inch GT rings and separate aluminum hats in this Small Ford rear kit. Dedicated EPB calipers and control hardware provide parking hold alongside the hydraulic service-brake system. Camarillo, California is home to Wilwood Engineering, the company Bill Wood founded in 1977. Wilwood designs and manufactures disc braking systems and components for street-performance, motorsport and specialized applications. Its calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines are selected to work within the complete installation.

• Manufacturer part number: 140-16151; supplied as one rear axle brake kit.
• Cataloged rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm; 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm bolt circle; cataloged stud-hole clearances 0.520 in; 13.21 mm. The existing hub or axle flange determines the vehicle wheel pattern and stud specification. These rotor/hat drillings do not convert that pattern.
• Supplied service pads: BP-10 compound; verify suitability for the intended operating conditions.
• Parking-brake package: Two separate electric parking calipers, control unit, switch with pigtail and universal wiring harness included; vehicle electrical connections require installation.
• Hydraulic installation: Hydraulic lines and fittings are separate and must be selected for the vehicle; master cylinder not included; brake booster not included.
• Rotor mounting hats: Aluminum; Black E-Coat; hat offset 2.035 inches. This is a hat dimension, not the axle offset.
• Mechanical contents: Separate wheel hubs are not included; mounting hardware supplied; spindles not included.
• Rotor material and surface: Spec-37 Iron; vented; GT Slotted; surface finish Black Electro Coat.
• Rotor dimensions: 12.88 in; 327.15 mm outside diameter; 1.10 in; 27.94 mm thick.
• Hydraulic service calipers: Forged Narrow Superlite 4R; 4 pistons per caliper; Forged Aluminium body; radial mounting; Stainless pistons.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 17 in; 431.8 mm; full spoke/barrel clearance must be checked using the installation drawing.
• Rear axle interface: Small Ford housing flange; 2.50 in; 63.5 mm axle offset. Measure the installed assembly.
• Caliper finish and port: Black Powder Coat; hydraulic inlet 1/8-27 NPT.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use only an axle that matches the documented Small Ford flange and 2.50-inch offset. Rear-end names can conceal different bearing flanges, so measure the installed parts. Check the rotor register, studs, axle retention and complete wheel outline rather than relying on the nominal 17-inch wheel size.

Any vehicle application in the fitment table below depends on the installed axle interface. Compare flange and bearing geometry, axle offset, center register and wheel hardware with the specified assembly. For a 1990 Lincoln Town Car, identify the actual axle and confirm the specified interface; do not select this conversion from model and year alone.

A separate electric caliper at each rear wheel performs the parking function; it does not replace the hydraulic service circuit. Supplied EPB equipment includes the controller, switch/pigtail and wiring harness. Install the vehicle power, ground and accessory connections using DS1353. Use the system only for parking hold, not emergency stopping.
