Wilwood Rear Plain-Rotor Conversion with Red Dynalite and Electric Parking Calipers, Small Ford Flange, 12.19-Inch Rotors, 2.50-Inch Offset

Plain 12.19-inch rotors and red four-piston Dynalite calipers provide the service braking in this rear assembly. The electric parking units hold the vehicle statically; suitable hydraulic lines remain separate from the supplied 2.50-inch-offset conversion hardware. Founded in 1977 by Bill Wood, Wilwood Engineering is based in Camarillo, California. Its disc brake systems and components serve motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. The range includes calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, chosen to suit the mounting and hydraulic requirements of the complete system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-16150-R; supplied as one rear axle brake kit.
• Caliper finish and port: Red Powder Coat; hydraulic inlet 1/8-27 NPT.
• Parking-brake package: Two separate electric parking calipers, control unit, switch with pigtail and universal wiring harness included; vehicle electrical connections require installation.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 15 in; 381 mm; full spoke/barrel clearance must be checked using the installation drawing.
• Hydraulic installation: Hydraulic lines and fittings are separate and must be selected for the vehicle; master cylinder not included; brake booster not included.
• Cataloged rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm; 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm bolt circle; cataloged stud-hole clearances 0.52 in; 13.21 mm. The existing hub or axle flange determines the vehicle wheel pattern and stud specification. These rotor/hat drillings do not convert that pattern.
• Supplied service pads: BP-10 compound; verify suitability for the intended operating conditions.
• Rotor dimensions: 12.19 in; 309.63 mm outside diameter; 0.81 in; 20.57 mm thick.
• Rear axle interface: Small Ford housing flange; 2.50 in; 63.5 mm axle offset. Measure the installed assembly.
• Hydraulic service calipers: Forged Dynalite Internal; 4 pistons per caliper; Forged Aluminium body; lug mounting; Stainless pistons.
• Rotor material and surface: Iron; vented; Plain Face; surface finish Plain.
• Mechanical contents: Separate wheel hubs are not included; mounting hardware supplied; spindles not included.

Fitment & Compatibility

This kit is selected for Small Ford geometry at 2.50 inches of axle offset. Wheel-stud pattern and register dimensions must match the supplied rotors or hats, and the parking motors and harness connectors need clearance throughout suspension travel. Compare the intended 15-inch or larger wheel with the installation drawing.

Any vehicle application in the fitment table below depends on the installed axle interface. Compare flange and bearing geometry, axle offset, center register and wheel hardware with the specified assembly. For a 1990 Lincoln Town Car, identify the actual axle and confirm the specified interface; do not select this conversion from model and year alone.

The supplied EPB switch and pigtail connect through a universal harness to the controller and separate parking-caliper motors. Vehicle-specific power, ground and ignition/accessory wiring still requires installation under DS1353. This static-hold system is independent of the service brakes and is not intended for emergency stopping.
