Wilwood Small Ford Bronco Rear Brake Package, Red Calipers with Plain 12.19-Inch Rotors, Electric Parking System and 2.36-Inch Offset

The plain-face option for this Small Ford Bronco rear axle combines red Dynalite service calipers with separate electric parking units. A switch, controller and harness are included, but the hydraulic hoses must be selected for the actual vehicle installation. Wilwood Engineering was established in 1977 by Bill Wood and is based in Camarillo, California. It designs and manufactures disc brake equipment for specialized applications, motorsport and street-performance use. The product range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines; each is chosen to meet the complete system’s requirements.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-16146-R; supplied as one rear axle brake kit.
• Cataloged rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 5 x 5.5 in; 5 x 139.7 mm bolt circle; cataloged stud-hole clearances 0.64 in; 16.26 mm. The existing hub or axle flange determines the vehicle wheel pattern and stud specification. These rotor/hat drillings do not convert that pattern.
• Hydraulic installation: Hydraulic lines and fittings are separate and must be selected for the vehicle; master cylinder not included; brake booster not included.
• Caliper finish and port: Red Powder Coat; hydraulic inlet 1/8-27 NPT.
• Hydraulic service calipers: Forged Dynalite Internal; 4 pistons per caliper; Forged Aluminium body; lug mounting; Stainless pistons.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 15 in; 381 mm; full spoke/barrel clearance must be checked using the installation drawing.
• Mechanical contents: Separate wheel hubs are not included; mounting hardware supplied; spindles not included.
• Rotor material and surface: Iron; vented; Plain Face; surface finish Plain.
• Rear axle interface: Small Ford Bronco housing flange; 2.36 in; 59.94 mm axle offset. Measure the installed assembly.
• Supplied service pads: BP-10 compound; verify suitability for the intended operating conditions.
• Parking-brake package: Two separate electric parking calipers, control unit, switch with pigtail and universal wiring harness included; vehicle electrical connections require installation.
• Rotor dimensions: 12.19 in; 309.63 mm outside diameter; 0.81 in; 20.57 mm thick.

Fitment & Compatibility

This kit is selected for Small Ford Bronco geometry at 2.36 inches of axle offset. Wheel-stud pattern and register dimensions must match the supplied rotors or hats, and the parking motors and harness connectors need clearance throughout suspension travel. Compare the intended 15-inch or larger wheel with the installation drawing.

Any vehicle application in the fitment table below depends on the installed axle interface. Compare flange and bearing geometry, axle offset, center register and wheel hardware with the specified assembly. For a 1990 Lincoln Town Car, identify the actual axle and confirm the specified interface; do not select this conversion from model and year alone.

The supplied EPB switch and pigtail connect through a universal harness to the controller and separate parking-caliper motors. Vehicle-specific power, ground and ignition/accessory wiring still requires installation under DS1353. This static-hold system is independent of the service brakes and is not intended for emergency stopping.
