Wilwood 14-Inch Drilled Rear Rotor Conversion with Black Superlite and Electric Parking Calipers, Big Ford 2.36-Inch Flange Offset

This drilled 14-inch rear package uses black Superlite hydraulic calipers and a second pair of electrically driven parking units. The two-piece rotors attach through aluminum hats, leaving axle-flange measurement and wheel clearance as essential installation checks. Wilwood Engineering was established in 1977 by Bill Wood and is based in Camarillo, California. It designs and manufactures disc brake equipment for specialized applications, motorsport and street-performance use. The product range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines; each is chosen to meet the complete system’s requirements.

• Manufacturer part number: 140-16144-D; supplied as one rear axle brake kit.
• Parking-brake package: Two separate electric parking calipers, control unit, switch with pigtail and universal wiring harness included; vehicle electrical connections require installation.
• Rotor material and surface: Spec-37 Iron; vented; SRP Drilled & Slotted; surface finish Black Electro Coat.
• Mechanical contents: Separate wheel hubs are not included; mounting hardware supplied; spindles not included.
• Rear axle interface: Big Ford housing flange; 2.36 in; 59.94 mm axle offset. Measure the installed assembly.
• Hydraulic installation: Hydraulic lines and fittings are separate and must be selected for the vehicle; master cylinder not included; brake booster not included.
• Hydraulic service calipers: Forged Narrow Superlite 4R; 4 pistons per caliper; Forged Aluminium body; radial mounting; Stainless pistons.
• Cataloged rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm; 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm bolt circle; cataloged stud-hole clearances 0.520 in; 13.21 mm. The existing hub or axle flange determines the vehicle wheel pattern and stud specification. These rotor/hat drillings do not convert that pattern.
• Rotor dimensions: 14.00 in; 355.6 mm outside diameter; 1.10 in; 27.94 mm thick.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 18 in; 457.2 mm; full spoke/barrel clearance must be checked using the installation drawing.
• Rotor mounting hats: Aluminum; Black E-Coat; hat offset 1.625 inches. This is a hat dimension, not the axle offset.
• Supplied service pads: BP-10 compound; verify suitability for the intended operating conditions.
• Caliper finish and port: Black Powder Coat; hydraulic inlet 1/8-27 NPT.

Fitment & Compatibility

Installation requires the Big Ford housing flange and a measured 2.36-inch axle offset. Compare the housing bolt pattern, bearing/axle retention, wheel pattern and center registration with the kit drawing, then check both service-caliper and EPB-motor clearance. Nominal 18-inch wheel diameter is only the starting point.

Use the fitment table below together with a measured axle check. A model name alone does not establish conversion compatibility; compare the flange, axle offset, register and chosen wheel pattern. For a 1990 Lincoln Town Car, identify the actual axle and confirm the specified interface; do not select this conversion from model and year alone.

The EPB is a parking-hold system, not an emergency stopping brake. It includes a separate left/right motor-driven caliper pair, control unit, switch with pigtail and universal wiring harness. Vehicle power, ground, ignition/accessory connections and protected cable routing must be installed to DS1353; it is not a plug-in factory-harness replacement.
