Wilwood Red Rear Dynapro-LP Brakes with Drilled Iron Rotors and Electric Parking System, Big Ford Housing, 2.36-Inch Axle Offset

This red low-profile rear package combines drilled iron rotors with four-piston Dynapro service brakes. Its separate red EPB calipers add an electrically controlled parking function to the measured 2.36-inch-offset Big Ford axle. Wilwood Engineering was established in 1977 by Bill Wood and is based in Camarillo, California. It designs and manufactures disc brake equipment for specialized applications, motorsport and street-performance use. The product range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines; each is chosen to meet the complete system’s requirements.

• Manufacturer part number — 140-16141-DR; supplied as one rear axle brake kit.
• Hydraulic service calipers — Forged Dynapro Low Profile; 4 pistons per caliper; Forged Aluminium body; lug mounting; Stainless pistons.
• Rotor dimensions — 11.00 in; 279.4 mm outside diameter; 0.81 in; 20.57 mm thick.
• Parking-brake package — Two separate electric parking calipers, control unit, switch with pigtail and universal wiring harness included; vehicle electrical connections require installation.
• Rotor material and surface — Iron; vented; SRP Drilled & Slotted; surface finish Black Electro Coat.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter — 14 in; 355.6 mm; full spoke/barrel clearance must be checked using the installation drawing.
• Caliper finish and port — Red Powder Coat; hydraulic inlet 1/8-27 NPT.
• Hydraulic installation — Hydraulic lines and fittings are separate and must be selected for the vehicle; master cylinder not included; brake booster not included.
• Rear axle interface — Big Ford housing flange; 2.36 in; 59.94 mm axle offset. Measure the installed assembly.
• Mechanical contents — Separate wheel hubs are not included; mounting hardware supplied; spindles not included.
• Cataloged rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern — 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm; 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm bolt circle; cataloged stud-hole clearances 0.52 in; 13.21 mm. The existing hub or axle flange determines the vehicle wheel pattern and stud specification. These rotor/hat drillings do not convert that pattern.
• Supplied service pads — BP-10 compound; verify suitability for the intended operating conditions.

Fitment & Compatibility

Match the actual rear axle to the Big Ford diagram and 2.36-inch offset before disassembly. Verify the bearing arrangement, axle register and wheel-bolt pattern independently, including any changes made during a previous axle conversion. Use the full 14-inch minimum wheel envelope for both caliper positions.

Review the fitment table below after identifying the rear axle. Confirm housing-flange dimensions, retention hardware, offset, register and wheel pattern against the kit drawing. For a 1990 Lincoln Town Car, identify the actual axle and confirm the specified interface; do not select this conversion from model and year alone.

The EPB is a parking-hold system, not an emergency stopping brake. It includes a separate left/right motor-driven caliper pair, control unit, switch with pigtail and universal wiring harness. Vehicle power, ground, ignition/accessory connections and protected cable routing must be installed to DS1353; it is not a plug-in factory-harness replacement.
