Wilwood 2.36-Inch-Offset Big Ford Bronco Rear EPB Package, Black Calipers and Drilled 12.19-Inch Iron Rotors

This 2.36-inch-offset rear conversion pairs drilled iron rotors with black Dynalite service calipers. Its EPB system provides static parking hold through additional calipers, with the switch, wiring harness and control unit supplied. Wilwood Engineering, founded by Bill Wood in 1977, designs and manufactures disc brake systems from Camarillo, California. Its motorsport, street-performance and specialized product range spans calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. A conversion must be considered as a complete brake system when selecting those parts.

• Manufacturer part number: 140-16138-D; supplied as one rear axle brake kit.
• Rear axle interface: Big Ford Bronco housing flange; 2.36 in; 59.94 mm axle offset. Measure the installed assembly.
• Rotor dimensions: 12.19 in; 309.63 mm outside diameter; 0.81 in; 20.57 mm thick.
• Caliper finish and port: Black Powder Coat; hydraulic inlet 1/8-27 NPT.
• Supplied service pads: BP-10 compound; verify suitability for the intended operating conditions.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 15 in; 381 mm; full spoke/barrel clearance must be checked using the installation drawing.
• Hydraulic service calipers: Forged Dynalite Internal; 4 pistons per caliper; Forged Aluminium body; lug mounting; Stainless pistons.
• Parking-brake package: Two separate electric parking calipers, control unit, switch with pigtail and universal wiring harness included; vehicle electrical connections require installation.
• Mechanical contents: Separate wheel hubs are not included; mounting hardware supplied; spindles not included.
• Cataloged rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 5.5 in; 5 x 139.7 mm bolt circle; cataloged stud-hole clearances 0.56 in; 14.22 mm; 0.64 in; 16.26 mm. The existing hub or axle flange determines the vehicle wheel pattern and stud specification. These rotor/hat drillings do not convert that pattern.
• Hydraulic installation: Hydraulic lines and fittings are separate and must be selected for the vehicle; master cylinder not included; brake booster not included.
• Rotor material and surface: Iron; vented; SRP Drilled & Slotted; surface finish Black Electro Coat.

Fitment & Compatibility

Installation requires the Big Ford Bronco housing flange and a measured 2.36-inch axle offset. Compare the housing bolt pattern, bearing/axle retention, wheel pattern and center registration with the kit drawing, then check both service-caliper and EPB-motor clearance. Nominal 15-inch wheel diameter is only the starting point. DS1411 identifies the 1966–1977 Ford Bronco 11 x 1.75-inch drum axle; choose this kit’s specific offset, not the alternative shown in the same manual.

Any vehicle application in the fitment table below depends on the installed axle interface. Compare flange and bearing geometry, axle offset, center register and wheel hardware with the specified assembly. For a 1990 Lincoln Town Car, identify the actual axle and confirm the specified interface; do not select this conversion from model and year alone.

Two dedicated motorized calipers provide parking hold separately from the hydraulic service calipers. The kit supplies their switch with pigtail, control unit and universal wiring harness. DS1353 covers the required 12V vehicle connections and component placement. The EPB is not an emergency stopping brake.
