Wilwood Black 14-Inch GT Rear Superlite Brake Kit with Electric Parking Brake, Big Ford New-Style Flanges, 2.36-Inch Offset

The 14-inch GT rotor package increases the wheel-envelope requirement relative to smaller Superlite rear kits. Black four-piston service calipers and separate EPB units mount at the specified new-style Big Ford flange with 2.36 inches of axle offset. Bill Wood established Wilwood Engineering in 1977, and the company is based in Camarillo, California. Wilwood designs and manufactures disc brake systems and their components for street-performance, motorsport and specialized use. Its caliper, rotor, master-cylinder, valve, fitting and brake-line products are selected according to the complete brake-system requirements.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-16132; supplied as one rear axle brake kit.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 18 in; 457.2 mm; full spoke/barrel clearance must be checked using the installation drawing.
• Rotor mounting hats: Aluminum; Black E-Coat; hat offset 1.625 inches. This is a hat dimension, not the axle offset.
• Mechanical contents: Separate wheel hubs are not included; mounting hardware supplied; spindles not included.
• Hydraulic service calipers: Forged Narrow Superlite 4R; 4 pistons per caliper; Forged Aluminium body; radial mounting; Stainless pistons.
• Rotor material and surface: Spec-37 Iron; vented; GT Slotted; surface finish Black Electro Coat.
• Hydraulic installation: Hydraulic lines and fittings are separate and must be selected for the vehicle; master cylinder not included; brake booster not included.
• Supplied service pads: BP-10 compound; verify suitability for the intended operating conditions.
• Parking-brake package: Two separate electric parking calipers, control unit, switch with pigtail and universal wiring harness included; vehicle electrical connections require installation.
• Rear axle interface: Big Ford New Style housing flange; 2.36 in; 59.94 mm axle offset. Measure the installed assembly.
• Cataloged rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm; 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm bolt circle; cataloged stud-hole clearances 0.520 in; 13.21 mm. The existing hub or axle flange determines the vehicle wheel pattern and stud specification. These rotor/hat drillings do not convert that pattern.
• Caliper finish and port: Black Powder Coat; hydraulic inlet 1/8-27 NPT.
• Rotor dimensions: 14.00 in; 355.6 mm outside diameter; 1.10 in; 27.94 mm thick.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use only an axle that matches the documented Big Ford New Style flange and 2.36-inch offset. Rear-end names can conceal different bearing flanges, so measure the installed parts. Check the rotor register, studs, axle retention and complete wheel outline rather than relying on the nominal 18-inch wheel size.

Use the fitment table below together with a measured axle check. A model name alone does not establish conversion compatibility; compare the flange, axle offset, register and chosen wheel pattern. For a 1990 Lincoln Town Car, identify the actual axle and confirm the specified interface; do not select this conversion from model and year alone.

Parking actuation is electric through a supplied controller, switch with pigtail, universal harness and two motor-driven calipers. The installer must provide suitable vehicle power/ground and ignition/accessory connections and check lead routing to DS1353. These additional calipers are for parking hold, not an emergency stop function.
