Wilwood C4 Corvette Front Six-Piston Road Race Brake Kit (1988–1996), 12.88-Inch GT Rotors and Braided Flexlines

This C4 Corvette front package places six-piston Superlite 6R/ST calipers over 12.88-inch GT-slotted rotor rings. Two-piece assemblies retain the original hubs, with black aluminum hats and stainless braided flexlines supplied for the specified racing installation. Bill Wood established Wilwood Engineering in 1977, and the company is based in Camarillo, California. Wilwood designs and manufactures disc brake systems and their components for street-performance, motorsport and specialized use. Its caliper, rotor, master-cylinder, valve, fitting and brake-line products are selected according to the complete brake-system requirements.

• Mechanical contents: Separate wheel hubs are not included; mounting hardware supplied; spindles not included.
• Hydraulic installation: Braided flexlines are included; master cylinder not included; brake booster not included.
• Flexline reference: Front Line Kit: 220-8338.
• Caliper finish and port: Type III Anodize; hydraulic inlet 1/8-27 NPT.
• Supplied service pads: BP-35 compound; verify suitability for the intended operating conditions.
• Rotor dimensions: 12.88 in; 327.15 mm outside diameter; 1.10 in; 27.94 mm thick.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 17 in; 431.8 mm; full spoke/barrel clearance must be checked using the installation drawing.
• Rotor mounting hats: Aluminum; Black E-Coat; hat offset 0.880 inches. This is a hat dimension, not the axle offset.
• Cataloged rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm bolt circle; cataloged stud-hole clearances 0.560 in; 14.22 mm; 0.520 in; 13.21 mm. The existing hub or axle flange determines the vehicle wheel pattern and stud specification. These rotor/hat drillings do not convert that pattern.
• Hydraulic service calipers: Forged Narrow Superlite 6R; 6 pistons per caliper; Forged Aluminium body; radial mounting; Thermlock pistons.
• Rotor material and surface: Spec-37 Iron; vented; GT Slotted; surface finish Plain.

Fitment & Compatibility

The table covers Chevrolet Corvette C4 (1988–1996) with the listed standard 12-inch or heavy-duty 13-inch original front brake option. Match the spindle and hub register to DS1396 and check 17-inch wheel spoke clearance. BP-35 pads are intended for high-temperature racing rather than prolonged cold service, which increases wear.
