Wilwood Superlite 6R/ST Front Road Race Brake Kit for Honda Civic (2006–2015) and CR-Z (2011–2015), 12.88-Inch GT Rotors

This front Superlite 6R/ST package replaces the documented Honda brake assembly with hard-anodized six-piston calipers and 12.88-inch GT rotors. It is a high-temperature road-race conversion; the vehicle-specific braided flexline kit must be ordered separately. Wilwood Engineering, founded by Bill Wood in 1977, designs and manufactures disc brake systems from Camarillo, California. Its motorsport, street-performance and specialized product range spans calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. A conversion must be considered as a complete brake system when selecting those parts.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-16092; supplied as one front axle brake kit.
• Mechanical contents: Separate wheel hubs are not included; mounting hardware supplied; spindles not included.
• Hydraulic service calipers: Forged Narrow Superlite 6R; 6 pistons per caliper; Forged Aluminium body; radial mounting; Thermlock pistons.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 17 in; 431.8 mm; full spoke/barrel clearance must be checked using the installation drawing.
• Cataloged rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern: 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm bolt circle; cataloged stud-hole clearances 0.580 in; 14.73 mm. The existing hub or axle flange determines the vehicle wheel pattern and stud specification. These rotor/hat drillings do not convert that pattern.
• Rotor mounting hats: Aluminum; Type III Anodize; hat offset 0.540 inches. This is a hat dimension, not the axle offset.
• Supplied service pads: BP-35 compound; verify suitability for the intended operating conditions.
• Rotor material and surface: Spec-37 Iron; vented; GT Slotted; surface finish Plain.
• Rotor dimensions: 12.88 in; 327.15 mm outside diameter; 1.10 in; 27.94 mm thick.
• Caliper finish and port: Type III Anodize; hydraulic inlet 1/8-27 NPT.
• Hydraulic installation: Hydraulic lines and fittings are separate and must be selected for the vehicle; master cylinder not included; brake booster not included.

Fitment & Compatibility

Review all Civic (2006–2015) and CR-Z (2011–2015) trim entries and confirm the original 54 mm front-caliper configuration. DS1394 shows CR-Z hose-bracket drilling and the later Civic Si factory line/ABS bracket arrangement. Hose references are 220-11980 for 2006–2011 Civic and 220-12016 for the documented CR-Z and later Civic applications. Check 17-inch wheel clearance. BP-35 race pads can wear rotors and pads rapidly during extended low-temperature use.
