Wilwood Red AERO4 Rear Disc Conversion, Ram 1500 (2013–2018), GT-Slotted 15-Inch Rotors with OE Parking Brake Retention

This red-caliper Ram rear package replaces the factory service calipers and rotors while retaining the original parking brake. Four-piston AERO4 bodies clamp 15-inch GT-slotted iron assemblies, and BP-20 pads and braided flexlines are supplied for the documented installation. Bill Wood founded Wilwood Engineering in 1977. Based in Camarillo, California, the company designs and manufactures disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized use. Calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines are among its components; their selection depends on the needs of the complete brake system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number — 140-16026-R; supplied as one rear axle brake kit.
• Cataloged rotor/hat mounting-hole pattern — 5 X 5.5 in; 5 X 139.7 mm bolt circle; cataloged stud-hole clearances 0.65 in; 16.51 mm. The existing hub or axle flange determines the vehicle wheel pattern and stud specification. These rotor/hat drillings do not convert that pattern.
• Flexline reference — Rear Line Kit: 220-16025.
• Rotor dimensions — 15.00 in; 381 mm outside diameter; 1.25 in; 31.75 mm thick.
• Mechanical contents — Separate wheel hubs are not included; mounting hardware supplied; spindles not included.
• Caliper finish and port — Red Powder Coat; hydraulic inlet 1/8-27 NPT.
• Supplied service pads — BP-20 compound; verify suitability for the intended operating conditions.
• Hydraulic service calipers — AERO4; 4 pistons per caliper; Forged Aluminium body; radial mounting; Stainless pistons.
• Rotor material and surface — Iron; vented; GT Slotted; surface finish Black Electro Coat.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter — 19 in; 482.6 mm; full spoke/barrel clearance must be checked using the installation drawing.
• Hydraulic installation — Braided flexlines are included; master cylinder not included; brake booster not included.

Fitment & Compatibility

Confirm the exact Ram 1500 year and trim in the 2013–2018 application list, which includes both RWD and 4WD configurations. Installation is not limited to bolting on the supplied hoses: DS1377 calls for cutting and re-flaring the original hard lines. Check parking-shoe condition, rotor registration and clearance inside the intended 19-inch or larger wheel.
