Wilwood Black AERO6 Six-Piston Front Conversion with 14-Inch GT Rotor Rings, Five-Lug Hubs for Later GM Truck/Van/SUV Iron ProSpindles (Listed 1988–2002 Applications)

Black AERO6 front calipers, 14-inch GT rotors and BP-20 pads make up this later-GM brake/hub conversion. The six-piston radial service calipers require their own clearance check rather than borrowing the Superlite wheel envelope. Aluminum hubs and separate hats are supplied for the required iron Pro Drop spindles. Match the listed truck, van or SUV application and wheel pattern before purchasing the separate brake hoses. Founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Its calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines are selected to suit the complete braking system.

• Manufacturer part number: 140-15951. Quantity: one kit for the stated axle/application.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 18 inches. The wheel must also clear the actual caliper and rotor profile in the installation drawing.
• Rotor specification: 14.00-inch outside diameter × 1.25-inch thickness; GT slotted faces. Spec-37 Iron construction; GT 72 Curved Vane design; published vane configuration: 72 CV.
• Rotor hats: aluminum, black e-coat finish; Big Brake Hat - Flared Bell. Hat offset: 1.230 inch.
• Supplied hub assembly: Hub - Hat Mount, aluminum, bare finish.
• Wheel mounting patterns: 5 x 4.75; 5 x 5.00 inches.
• Service caliper: AERO6; 6 pistons; stainless piston material. Radial mounting, black powder coat finish.
• Published piston bores: 1.75, 1.38, 1.38 inches. Supplied pad compound: BP-20.
• Caliper hydraulic inlet: 1/8-27 NPT.
• Brake hoses are not included. Manufacturer line-kit reference(s), sold separately: 220-16439.
• Mounting hardware and the specified pads are included. Spindles, master cylinder and brake booster are not supplied.

Fitment & Compatibility

The later-GM AERO6 front package must be matched to its Wilwood one-piece iron Pro Drop spindle generation. It will not fit an original spindle or an earlier truck kit by assumption. Five-lug wheels must agree with the supplied hub patterns and seat fully, with the actual 18-inch wheel profile clearing the radial caliper and rotor. The application table below has separate truck, SUV and van entries: pickup ranges commonly stop at 1998, while some van entries continue through 2002. Preserve those individual limits when identifying the vehicle. Required spindles and brake hoses are not included. Check the complete hydraulic system and choose flexline fittings and length for the actual chassis before installation.
