Wilwood Red-Caliper Front Superlite Hub Conversion for Later GM Truck/Van/SUV Iron ProSpindles, Slotted 13.06-Inch GT Rotor Assemblies (Listed 1988–2002 Applications)

This red/GT front package combines six-piston Superlite calipers, 13.06-inch slotted rotors and BP-20 pads for later GM iron ProSpindles. Its five-lug aluminum hubs and separate hats are supplied with the conversion hardware. The application table covers different pickup, SUV and van production ranges, not one universal date span. Check spindle identity and wheel geometry before completing the separate hydraulic hose installation. Wilwood Engineering was established in 1977 by Bill Wood in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc-brake systems and components, from calipers and rotors to master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, for motorsport, street-performance and specialized installations. Each component must match the rest of the brake system.

• Manufacturer part number: 140-15949-R. Quantity: one kit for the stated axle/application.
• Service caliper: Forged Narrow Superlite 6R; 6 pistons; stainless piston material. Radial mounting, red powder coat finish.
• Published piston bores: 1.75, 1.25, 1.25 inches. Supplied pad compound: BP-20.
• Caliper hydraulic inlet: 1/8-27 NPT.
• Rotor specification: 13.06-inch outside diameter × 1.25-inch thickness; GT slotted faces. Spec-37 Iron construction; GT 48 Curved Vane design; published vane configuration: 48 CV.
• Rotor hats: aluminum, black e-coat finish; Big Brake Hat - Flared Bell. Hat offset: 1.230 inch.
• Supplied hub assembly: Hub - Hat Mount, aluminum, bare finish.
• Wheel mounting patterns: 5 x 4.75; 5 x 5.00 inches.
• Brake hoses are not included. Manufacturer line-kit reference(s), sold separately: 220-16439.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 17 inches. The wheel must also clear the actual caliper and rotor profile in the installation drawing.
• Mounting hardware and the specified pads are included. Spindles, master cylinder and brake booster are not supplied.

Fitment & Compatibility

The listed later GM truck, van and SUV applications require the matching Wilwood C10 one-piece iron Pro Drop spindles. Original equipment spindles will not fit. The table has distinct 1988–1998 pickup entries and later SUV/van ranges, with certain van applications extending to 2002; do not apply one overall span to every model. Confirm the correct spindle generation, five-lug wheel interface, full hub seating and clearance around the caliper. Flexible brake lines are ordered separately for the vehicle being built.
