Wilwood Six-Lug Front AERO6 SRP Conversion for GM Truck/SUV Iron ProSpindles, Red Calipers over 14-Inch Drilled/Slotted Rotors (Listed 1963–1987 Applications)

Red AERO6 calipers work over 14.00-inch SRP rotor rings in this six-lug front conversion. The kit's aluminum hubs, hats and BP-10 pads are matched to Wilwood one-piece iron Pro Drop spindles. It will not fit original equipment truck spindles. Measure the wheel pattern and check the rotor/caliper outline against the wheel, then review flexible-line routing for full steering and suspension travel. Wilwood Engineering, founded by Bill Wood in 1977, designs and manufactures disc brake systems from its Camarillo, California base. Motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications use its calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Correct component selection depends on the requirements of the entire braking system.

• Manufacturer part number: 140-15947-DR. Quantity: one kit for the stated axle/application.
• Rotor specification: 14.00-inch outside diameter × 1.25-inch thickness; SRP drilled & slotted faces. Spec-37 Iron construction; SRP Drilled Rotor design; published vane configuration: 72 CV.
• Rotor hats: aluminum, black e-coat finish; Big Brake Hat - Flared Bell. Hat offset: 1.380 inch.
• Service caliper: AERO6; 6 pistons; stainless piston material. Radial mounting, red powder coat finish.
• Published piston bores: 1.75, 1.38, 1.38 inches. Supplied pad compound: BP-10.
• Caliper hydraulic inlet: 1/8-27 NPT.
• Supplied hub assembly: Hub - Hat Mount, aluminum, bare finish.
• Wheel mounting pattern: 6 x 5.50 inches.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 18 inches. The wheel must also clear the actual caliper and rotor profile in the installation drawing.
• Mounting hardware and the specified pads are included. Spindles, master cylinder and brake booster are not supplied.

Fitment & Compatibility

Fitment of the red AERO6 front package depends on the iron Pro Drop spindle, not just the truck model in the table. Use the Wilwood C10 one-piece iron ProSpindles specified in the instructions; the required spindles are separate and factory spindles will not fit. Six-lug 6 × 5.50-inch wheels must also match the hubs and clear the rotor/caliper envelope. The documented change from stock wheel position is 0.41 inch outboard on 1963–1970 applications and 0.06 inch inboard on 1971–1987 applications. Apply those dimensions when reviewing wheel offset and suspension/body space. Check every relevant year/model option in the table below and select braided hoses separately for the actual chassis routing.
