Wilwood Black Six-Piston Superlite Front System for GM Truck/SUV Iron ProSpindles, Six-Lug Hubs with 14-Inch GT Slotted Rotors (Listed 1963–1987 Applications)

This six-lug Superlite front kit supplies black calipers and 14.00-inch GT slotted rotor rings for the listed GM truck/SUV iron ProSpindle installation. Separate hats, aluminum hubs and BP-20 pads are included. The selected configuration is black/GT; the installed reference photograph shows a white caliper and drilled/slotted rotor from a different finish/rotor option. The required one-piece iron Pro Drop spindles and flexible lines are separate purchases. Wilwood Engineering, founded by Bill Wood in 1977, designs and manufactures disc brake systems from its Camarillo, California base. Motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications use its calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Correct component selection depends on the requirements of the entire braking system.

• Manufacturer part number: 140-15946. Quantity: one kit for the stated axle/application.
• Supplied hub assembly: Hub - Hat Mount, aluminum, bare finish.
• Wheel mounting pattern: 6 x 5.50 inches.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 18 inches. The wheel must also clear the actual caliper and rotor profile in the installation drawing.
• Rotor specification: 14.00-inch outside diameter × 1.25-inch thickness; GT slotted faces. Spec-37 Iron construction; GT 72 Curved Vane design; published vane configuration: 72 CV.
• Rotor hats: aluminum, black e-coat finish; Big Brake Hat - Flared Bell. Hat offset: 1.380 inch.
• Service caliper: Forged Narrow Superlite 6R; 6 pistons; stainless piston material. Radial mounting, black powder coat finish.
• Published piston bores: 1.75, 1.25, 1.25 inches. Supplied pad compound: BP-20.
• Caliper hydraulic inlet: 1/8-27 NPT.
• Brake hoses are not included. Manufacturer line-kit reference(s), sold separately: 220-7056, 220-11237, 220-12168.
• Mounting hardware and the specified pads are included. Spindles, master cylinder and brake booster are not supplied.

Fitment & Compatibility

This is the six-lug hub option for the documented GM truck/SUV applications, using 6 × 5.50-inch wheels. It requires Wilwood C10 one-piece iron Pro Drop spindles and will not mount to the original equipment spindle. The selected black-caliper/GT assembly needs its own 18-inch wheel-profile check; the white-caliper reference photograph does not change the supplied finish or rotor pattern. Relative wheel movement is 0.41 inch outboard for 1963–1970 applications and 0.06 inch inboard for 1971–1987 applications compared with stock brakes and spindles. Assess that change alongside fender and suspension clearance. Review each year, model and option in the table below, and obtain compatible spindles and flexlines separately.
