This red Superlite 6R front system is the five-lug, 14-inch GT configuration for the required one-piece iron ProSpindles. Its aluminum hubs and rotor hats support separate Spec-37 iron rings, with BP-20 pads supplied. The hardware is a spindle-specific conversion rather than a direct replacement for the original truck brakes. Confirm full wheel seating, inside clearance and the intended hydraulic balance with the rear brakes. Based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977. Its disc brake systems serve motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. The range includes calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, with each component chosen for its role in the complete brake installation.

  • Supplied hub assembly: Hub - Hat Mount, aluminum, bare finish.
  • Wheel mounting patterns: 5 x 4.75; 5 x 5.00 inches.
  • Service caliper: Forged Narrow Superlite 6R; 6 pistons; stainless piston material. Radial mounting, red powder coat finish.
  • Published piston bores: 1.75, 1.25, 1.25 inches. Supplied pad compound: BP-20.
  • Rotor specification: 14.00-inch outside diameter × 1.25-inch thickness; GT slotted faces. Spec-37 Iron construction; GT 72 Curved Vane design; published vane configuration: 72 CV.
  • Rotor hats: aluminum, black e-coat finish; Big Brake Hat - Flared Bell. Hat offset: 1.380 inch.
  • Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 18 inches. The wheel must also clear the actual caliper and rotor profile in the installation drawing.
  • Caliper hydraulic inlet: 1/8-27 NPT.
  • Brake hoses are not included. Manufacturer line-kit reference(s), sold separately: 220-7056, 220-11237, 220-12168.
  • Mounting hardware and the specified pads are included. Spindles, master cylinder and brake booster are not supplied.

Fitment & Compatibility

These application rows require Wilwood C10 one-piece iron Pro Drop spindles; the kit will not fit original equipment spindles. The listed GM trucks and SUVs span specific 1963–1987 model ranges, so check the exact row and installed spindle. Relative to the original brakes and spindle, Wilwood specifies wheel movement of 0.41 inch outboard for 1963–1970 and 0.06 inch inboard for 1971–1987. Match the five-lug 5 × 4.75 / 5 × 5.00-inch wheel interface and allow for the resulting wheel position when checking fender, suspension and brake clearance.
