Wilwood Front Superlite 6R Brake Kit, Black Calipers and 12.19-Inch GT Rotor/Hubs, Five-Lug GM Truck/SUV Iron ProSpindle Applications (1963–1987)

This black Superlite 6R front package uses 12.19-inch GT rotor assemblies and hubs drilled for five-lug wheel patterns. It is designed for the documented GM truck/SUV installations with Wilwood one-piece iron Pro Drop spindles, not their factory spindles. Six-piston radial calipers and BP-10 pads are supplied. The spindle conversion also changes wheel position by the amount stated for the applicable production years. Wilwood Engineering, founded by Bill Wood in 1977, designs and manufactures disc brake systems from its Camarillo, California base. Motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications use its calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Correct component selection depends on the requirements of the entire braking system.

• Manufacturer part number: 140-15940. Quantity: one kit for the stated axle/application.
• Supplied hub assembly: Hub - Hat Mount, aluminum, bare finish.
• Wheel mounting patterns: 5 x 4.75; 5 x 5.00 inches.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 15 inches. The wheel must also clear the actual caliper and rotor profile in the installation drawing.
• Rotor specification: 12.19-inch outside diameter × 1.10-inch thickness; GT slotted faces. Iron construction; Ultralite HPS 32 design; published vane configuration: 32 V.
• Service caliper: Forged Narrow Superlite 6R; 6 pistons; stainless piston material. Radial mounting, black powder coat finish.
• Published piston bores: 1.75, 1.25, 1.25 inches. Supplied pad compound: BP-10.
• Caliper hydraulic inlet: 1/8-27 NPT.
• Brake hoses are not included. Manufacturer line-kit reference(s), sold separately: 220-7056, 220-11237, 220-12168.
• Mounting hardware and the specified pads are included. Spindles, master cylinder and brake booster are not supplied.

Fitment & Compatibility

These application rows require Wilwood C10 one-piece iron Pro Drop spindles; the kit will not fit original equipment spindles. The listed GM trucks and SUVs span specific 1963–1987 model ranges, so check the exact row and installed spindle. Relative to the original brakes and spindle, Wilwood specifies wheel movement of 0.41 inch outboard for 1963–1970 and 0.06 inch inboard for 1971–1987. Match the five-lug 5 × 4.75 / 5 × 5.00-inch wheel interface and allow for the resulting wheel position when checking fender, suspension and brake clearance.
