Product details
Wilwood's Dynapro Radial front sprint kit is a competition brake assembly built around scalloped 11.75-inch Super Alloy vented rotors. Four-piston calipers use Thermlock pistons and a Type III anodized finish, with BP-40 racing pads specified for the friction interface. The package is for a compatible sprint-car installation, not a vehicle-model street conversion, and requires a separately planned brake-line arrangement. Founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Its calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines are selected to suit the complete braking system.
Technical Details
- Manufacturer part number: 140-15814. Quantity: one kit for the stated axle/application.
- Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 15 inches. The wheel must also clear the actual caliper and rotor profile in the installation drawing.
- Rotor specification: 11.75-inch outside diameter × 0.81-inch thickness; slotted faces. Super Alloy construction; Super Alloy design; published vane configuration: 32 V.
- No replacement wheel hubs are supplied; retain or provide the documented matching hub arrangement.
- Service caliper: Dynapro Radial Mount; 4 pistons; Thermlock piston material. Radial mounting, Type III Anodize finish.
- Published piston bores: 1.75, 1.75 inches. Supplied pad compound: BP-40.
- Caliper hydraulic inlet: 1/8-27 NPT.
- Brake hoses are not included. Select suitable braided lines and fittings for the installation.
- The specified caliper/rotor-adapter fasteners and pads are included. Bracket-to-upright and hub-mounting hardware, three spacer nuts, spindles, master cylinder and brake booster must be supplied separately as specified in DS-1344.
Fitment & Compatibility
Competition use only; not for street use. This is an outboard front sprint-car brake package, not a model-specific passenger-car kit. Compare the hub/rotor adapter dimensions and caliper bracket mounting with the installation sheet. DS-1344 requires three customer-supplied spacer nuts to be shortened to 0.93 inch to position the rotor correctly in the caliper. Plan this fabrication step and the customer-supplied mounting hardware before ordering. BP-40 pads require appropriate racing temperature and bedding. Supply suitable braided lines and secure them through the full steering and suspension range.
PMB Performance has over 20 years of experience working with parts and fitment details. Provide the actual brake hardware, mounting dimensions and wheel measurements when requesting help with this conversion.
