Wilwood Red TX6R Front Brake Conversion, 16-Inch Slotted Rotor Package for Ram 1500 2WD, Listed 2013–2018 Trims

Red TX6R radial-mount calipers and 16.00 × 1.38-inch vented rotors form this Ram 1500 front brake kit. It includes BP-22 pads and the application-specific flexline set, with the existing hubs retained. The 2WD/RWD application is a critical distinction: a matching model badge does not make the package suitable for a 4WD truck. Wheel barrel and spoke clearance must also be checked against the assembly drawing. From Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering develops disc-brake systems for street-performance, motorsport and specialized uses. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977. Calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines form part of its range, and must be combined to match the demands of the complete brake system.

• Manufacturer part number: 140-15807-R. Quantity: one kit for the stated axle/application.
• No replacement wheel hubs are supplied; retain or provide the documented matching hub arrangement.
• Wheel mounting patterns: 5 x 4.75; 5 x 5.00; 5 x 5.50 inches.
• Service caliper: TX6R; 6 pistons; stainless piston material. Radial mounting, red powder coat finish.
• Published piston bores: 1.75, 1.62, 1.62 inches. Supplied pad compound: BP-22.
• Rotor specification: 16.00-inch outside diameter × 1.38-inch thickness; GT slotted faces. Iron construction; GT 72 Staggered Vane design; published vane configuration: 72 SV.
• Rotor hats: aluminum, black e-coat finish; Truck Hat - Standard. Hat offset: 1.180 inch.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 20 inches. The wheel must also clear the actual caliper and rotor profile in the installation drawing.
• Caliper hydraulic inlet: 1/8-27 NPT.
• Included braided flexline kit: 220-15806 (10.00 in). Confirm the chassis fitting and routing for the actual installation.
• Mounting hardware and the specified pads are included. Spindles, master cylinder and brake booster are not supplied.

Fitment & Compatibility

This is the 2013–2018 Ram 1500 rear-wheel-drive application, with narrower and interrupted year spans for some trims. The related 4WD package is a different kit. Match the RWD entry, retained factory hubs and wheel-bolt pattern; the selected hat is drilled 5 × 5.50 inches. Check the complete wheel envelope and route the supplied flexlines for steering and suspension movement.
