Wilwood Front TX6R Truck Brake Kit for Ram 1500 RWD (2013–2018), Black Calipers, 16-Inch GT Rotors and Flexlines

This TX6R front conversion is the rear-wheel-drive Ram 1500 package with black six-piston calipers and 16.00-inch GT slotted rotors. The thick vented rotor rings, BP-22 pads and dedicated braided flexlines are selected for the documented truck brake arrangement. It is not the separate four-wheel-drive kit. Confirm the RWD trim entry and clearance behind a suitable 20-inch or larger wheel before ordering. Wilwood Engineering, founded by Bill Wood in 1977, designs and manufactures disc brake systems from its Camarillo, California base. Motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications use its calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Correct component selection depends on the requirements of the entire braking system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-15807. Quantity: one kit for the stated axle/application.
• Rotor specification: 16.00-inch outside diameter × 1.38-inch thickness; GT slotted faces. Iron construction; GT 72 Staggered Vane design; published vane configuration: 72 SV.
• Service caliper: TX6R; 6 pistons; stainless piston material. Radial mounting, black powder coat finish.
• Rotor hats: aluminum, black e-coat finish; Truck Hat - Standard. Hat offset: 1.180 inch.
• No replacement wheel hubs are supplied; retain or provide the documented matching hub arrangement.
• Wheel mounting patterns: 5 x 4.75; 5 x 5.00; 5 x 5.50 inches.
• Published piston bores: 1.75, 1.62, 1.62 inches. Supplied pad compound: BP-22.
• Caliper hydraulic inlet: 1/8-27 NPT.
• Included braided flexline kit: 220-15806 (10.00 in). Confirm the chassis fitting and routing for the actual installation.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 20 inches. The wheel must also clear the actual caliper and rotor profile in the installation drawing.
• Mounting hardware and the specified pads are included. Spindles, master cylinder and brake booster are not supplied.

Fitment & Compatibility

This is the 2013–2018 Ram 1500 rear-wheel-drive application, with narrower and interrupted year spans for some trims. The related 4WD package is a different kit. Match the RWD entry, retained factory hubs and wheel-bolt pattern; the selected hat is drilled 5 × 5.50 inches. Check the complete wheel envelope and route the supplied flexlines for steering and suspension movement.
