Wilwood Front SX6R Dynamic Brake Kit for Chevrolet Corvette C7 (2014–2019), Black Calipers and 15-Inch GT Rotors

The SX6R Dynamic front brake kit replaces the C7 Corvette front brake assembly with black six-piston calipers and 15.00-inch GT slotted rotors. A lug-drive connection joins the rotor rings to separate aluminum hats, while ProMatrix pads and braided flexlines complete this axle package. Choose it by the Corvette's exact trim and year, then check the 19-inch wheel clearance drawing rather than relying on rim diameter alone. Founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Its calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines are selected to suit the complete braking system.

• Manufacturer part number: 140-15743. Quantity: one kit for the stated axle/application.
• Rotor specification: 15.00-inch outside diameter × 1.25-inch thickness; GT slotted faces. Spec-37 Iron construction; GT 72 Curved Vane design; published vane configuration: 72 CV.
• Rotor hats: aluminum, Type III Anodize finish; Big Brake Dynamic Lug Drive - Short Offset. Hat offset: 0.518 inch.
• Service caliper: SX6R; 6 pistons; stainless piston material. Radial mounting, black powder coat finish.
• Published piston bores: 1.62, 1.12, 1.12 inches. Supplied pad compound: PM - ProMatrix.
• Caliper hydraulic inlet: 1/8-27 NPT.
• No replacement wheel hubs are supplied; retain or provide the documented matching hub arrangement.
• Wheel mounting pattern: 5 x 4.75 inches.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 19 inches. The wheel must also clear the actual caliper and rotor profile in the installation drawing.
• Mounting hardware and the specified pads are included. Spindles, master cylinder and brake booster are not supplied.
• Included braided flexline kit: 220-9100 (18.00 in). Confirm the chassis fitting and routing for the actual installation.

Fitment & Compatibility

The application rows distinguish Corvette Stingray 2014–2019, Z51 2014–2016, Z06 2015–2019, Grand Sport 2017–2019 and ZR1 2019. Confirm the exact entry and factory spindle/hub arrangement. The installation sheet requires opening the original hose-bracket hole to 0.625 inch and checking the wheel template. Wilwood specifies compatibility with the original master-cylinder output and ABS; evaluate front/rear balance after the conversion.
