Red Superlite 6R calipers, 14-inch drilled rotors and hubs form this front kit. Check the listed stock or converted spindle; model name is insufficient. From Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems and their components. Founded by Bill Wood in 1977, it serves street-performance, motorsport and specialized applications with master cylinders, calipers, brake rotors, valves, fittings and brake lines. All components must suit the requirements of the complete system.

Red dust-sealed Superlite 6R calipers with SRP drilled-and-slotted rotors make this a street-focused kit that shows through open wheels. The dust seals help keep grit off the pistons on a daily-driven car. Allow for 18-inch wheels or larger. If you plan on track use, 140-15409-R keeps the red calipers with GT slotted rotors, which handle sustained heat better than drilled faces.

Fitment & Compatibility

Compatibility depends on the actual spindle arrangement in the table. Some entries use the specified original GM disc or drum spindle; other GM, Ford and Mercury vehicles require the listed Ridetech pin-spindle conversion. Do not infer original-spindle compatibility from the broad model list. DS-1297 calls out machining on applicable spindles: upper anchor-hole drilling/tapping and, where directed, lower spindle/steering-arm hole enlargement, plus caliper-ear clearance. Have the relevant spindle inspected and machined by a qualified professional. The kit includes aluminum hubs, bearings, seals and 1/2-20 studs, with dual 5 × 4.50/4.75-inch wheel patterns and a 0.38-inch outward wheel-face change. Hoses are separate; the 220-7056 reference requires the correct length and fittings for the actual vehicle. Use the wheel template with the nominal 18-inch minimum guidance.
