Black four-piston calipers and 12.19-inch plain rotors suit listed Ford/Mercury spindles. Disc-spindle machining and separate hoses are required. Bill Wood founded Wilwood Engineering in 1977, and the manufacturer is based in Camarillo, California. Fitment & Compatibility

Use only the specific Ford/Mercury spindle and equipment combinations in the table. The selected applications span 1970–1974, with different year ranges for Mustang, Cougar, Falcon, Maverick, Comet, Fairlane, Ranchero and Torino. The 1970 Falcon/Maverick drum-brake entries start at the stated August 25, 1969 production date. Factory disc-spindle installations require three mounting holes to be drilled and tapped as DS-1294 specifies; professional machining and possible original caliper-ear clearance work are required. Drum and disc spindles use different bracket-hole arrangements. Aluminum hubs, bearings, seals and 1/2-20 wheel studs are included; the new hubs provide 5 × 4.50 and 5 × 4.75-inch patterns and move the wheel face outward 0.09 inch. Flexlines are separate; check the 220-9195 reference against the actual route and fittings. Any master-cylinder conversion also needs the correct pushrod arrangement. The wheel template controls clearance even where a 15-inch wheel is nominally permitted.
