Wilwood AERO6 Black 14-Inch Front Hub Brake Package for 1957–1967 Ford F-100 Factory Drum Spindles

This Wilwood AERO6 kit is a front 14-inch AERO6 hub upgrade for 1957–1967 F-100 Trucks with Factory Drum Spindles. AERO6 calipers use 14 x 1.25-inch rotors on separate aluminum hubs and hats for the verified early F-100 spindle. Wilwood Engineering, founded by Bill Wood in 1977, is based in Camarillo, California. The manufacturer supplies disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications, including calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines that must work together as a complete system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14839.
• Caliper bodies are forged aluminum, with Black Powder Coat treatment. This is the radial-mounted AERO6 version, using 6 stainless pistons per caliper.
• Fluid enters through a 1/8-27 NPT caliper port; match the adapter accordingly.
• This configuration uses BP-20 brake pads with caliper bores listed as 1.62, 1.12, 1.12 inches.
• Across the rotor face the measurement is 14.00 in; 355.6 mm; the braking section is 1.25 in; 31.75 mm thick. Both discs use the specified vented Spec-37 Iron design and gt slotted finish.
• The supplied aluminum hats are separate from the friction rings and carry a Black E-Coat finish.
• For this kit the published wheel mounting pattern(s) are 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm. Check the specified 1/2-20 wheel-stud thread.
• The package supplies separate aluminum hubs, rather than relying on the original hubs. Use the listed wheel patterns and thread specifications.
• Mounting hardware accompanies the brake components; the vehicle's spindle, master cylinder and booster are separate items.
• A suitable separately purchased line set is required, with compatible fittings and routing. Brake hoses are not supplied. Separate reference: 220-11237.
• The stated wheel requirement is 18 in; 457.2 mm. Nominal diameter alone does not establish clearance around the caliper and rotor.
• The components are sold together as one kit for the stated installation.

Fitment & Compatibility

Match the original drum-spindle arrangement and exact listed year/drive rows; 1959–1967 specifies 4 x 2. DS-1265 covers the hub bearings and radial brackets. Wheels must match 5 x 4.50 or 5 x 4.75-inch hubs and pass the clearance drawing; 5 x 5.50-inch wheels are not supported by these hubs. Models covered: F-100.
