Wilwood Black Six-Piston Front Disc Kit for Early Ford F-100 Drum Spindles, 14-Inch SRP Rotors and 5x4.50/4.75 Hubs

This Wilwood Superlite 6R kit is a front 14-inch hub conversion for Ford F-100 1957–1967 Drum-Spindle Trucks. Separate aluminum hubs and hats carry 14 x 1.10-inch rotors, paired with narrow six-piston Superlite calipers. Wilwood Engineering began in 1977 with founder Bill Wood and is based in Camarillo, California. It designs disc brake systems and components for racing, performance-road and specialized use, from calipers and rotors to master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines; the complete system determines component selection.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14838-D.
• Spec-37 Iron forms the vented rotors. Each disc has a srp drilled & slotted face, an outside diameter of 14.00 in; 355.6 mm and thickness of 1.10 in; 27.94 mm.
• Black Powder Coat Superlite 6R calipers are supplied. Their forged aluminum bodies use the radial mounting arrangement with 6 stainless pistons in each caliper.
• Piston sizes listed by Wilwood are 1.62, 1.12, 1.12 inches, with BP-10 friction material in this kit.
• Hydraulic fitting interface on each caliper: 1/8-27 NPT.
• Match 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm at the wheel mounting pattern(s) interface, with 1/2-20 as the wheel-stud thread.
• Black E-Coat treatment covers the separate aluminum rotor hats.
• The wheel hubs are individual aluminum components supplied in this package. Match their lug pattern and thread to the wheels.
• Published wheel minimum is 18 in; 457.2 mm, subject to the required inside-profile check. Rotor diameter is a separate measurement.
• Application-specific mounting hardware is supplied. Provide or retain the correct spindle, master cylinder and brake booster separately.
• The package excludes hydraulic hoses. Choose compatible connections and line length for the specific installation. Separate reference: 220-11237.
• Package quantity is one application-specific brake kit.

Fitment & Compatibility

Confirm the listed 1957–1967 F-100 factory drum spindle, with 4 x 2 specified for 1959–1967. Follow DS-1264 for bearing and bracket installation. The five-lug wheel patterns are 5 x 4.50 and 5 x 4.75 inches; the kit is distinct from the Classic Series 5 x 5.50-inch option. Models covered: F-100.
