Wilwood 14-Inch GT Front Hub Conversion for 1957–1967 Ford F-100, Black Superlite 6R Calipers

This Wilwood Superlite 6R kit is a front 14-inch hub conversion for Ford F-100 1957–1967 Drum-Spindle Trucks. Separate aluminum hubs and hats carry 14 x 1.10-inch rotors, paired with narrow six-piston Superlite calipers. Founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering develops disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Its calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines must be selected as parts of a complete, matched braking system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14838.
• The friction discs measure 14.00 in; 355.6 mm across and 1.10 in; 27.94 mm thick; gt slotted surfaces are used on vented Spec-37 Iron rotors.
• Each caliper carries 6 pistons made from stainless. The Superlite 6R design uses forged aluminum, radial mounting and a Black Powder Coat finish.
• BP-20 pads are supplied; the listed bore dimensions are 1.62, 1.12, 1.12 inches.
• Connect the brake line to the specified 1/8-27 NPT inlet.
• Wheel mounting pattern(s) measure 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm. The associated wheel-stud thread is 1/2-20.
• The rotor rings attach to separate aluminum hats with a Black E-Coat finish.
• Supplied aluminum hubs provide the wheel mounting; verify the patterns and stud threads stated above.
• Start wheel selection at 18 in; 457.2 mm; the barrel and spokes still need checking against the caliper-clearance template.
• This package includes its mounting fasteners. It excludes the spindles, master cylinder and booster.
• Order suitable flexlines separately; none are included. Match the chassis fittings and allow full steering/suspension travel. Separate reference: 220-11237.
• Sold as a complete kit for the specified front installation.

Fitment & Compatibility

Confirm the listed 1957–1967 F-100 factory drum spindle, with 4 x 2 specified for 1959–1967. Follow DS-1264 for bearing and bracket installation. The five-lug wheel patterns are 5 x 4.50 and 5 x 4.75 inches; the kit is distinct from the Classic Series 5 x 5.50-inch option. Models covered: F-100.
