Wilwood Thermlock AERO6-ST Road-Race Front Kit for Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35, 14-Inch Dynamic GT Discs

This Wilwood AERO6-ST kit is a front road-race conversion for Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35 Race Cars. Thermlock pistons, 20 mm BP-35 race pads and dynamic-mount 14-inch GT rotors are selected for sustained circuit temperatures. The kit belongs to Wilwood Engineering's range of disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977; it is based in Camarillo, California, and produces calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for complete brake-system planning.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14816.
• The specified radial caliper is an AERO6-ST. It combines a Type III Anodize forged aluminum body with 6 pistons per unit; the published piston material is Thermlock.
• When planning the line connection, account for the 1/8-27 NPT caliper inlet.
• Bores and friction material: 1.62, 1.12, 1.12 inches, with BP-35 pads supplied for the specified calipers.
• The vented discs have gt slotted friction surfaces and Spec-37 Iron construction. Nominal dimensions are 1.25 in; 31.75 mm through the braking section and 14.00 in; 355.6 mm at the outside edge.
• Aluminum hats with Type III Anodize finish complete the two-piece rotor assembly.
• The nominal hat stud-hole clearance diameter is 0.520 in; 13.21 mm; the matching wheel mounting pattern(s) are 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm. These describe different aspects of the attachment.
• Use the specified original or compatible existing hubs. The kit contains no wheel hubs.
• The supplied hardware mounts the specified brake package. It does not include replacement spindles, a brake booster or a master cylinder.
• Supplied line kit 220-9196 provides the braided brake hoses; the stated length is 23.00 in. Verify both ends and clearance through full travel.
• The caliper package calls for at least the published 18 in; 457.2 mm wheel diameter, plus sufficient spoke and inner-barrel clearance.
• This is a kit listing; one package contains the brake components described above.

Fitment & Compatibility

Confirm the listed 2003–2009 350Z brake option or G35 year/RWD/body configuration before ordering. DS-1257 requires dust-shield cutting. Some 18-inch wheels may fit, but check the exact drawing rather than treating the nominal diameter as clearance approval. Models covered: G35 and 350Z. Use the included high-temperature race pads for circuit conditions; extended low-temperature operation causes premature rotor and pad wear.

Kit may fit some 18" wheels. Check wheel clearance diagram in kit installation instructions before purchase.
